chapter eighty four

Adena and Regulus had exited the station and once they arrived at her place, they dropped off their stuff in the girl's room.

"Do what you want, I'll just talk with Candace."

She left her room as she said that. The brunette walked to her sister's bedroom, knocking twice on the door before entering. She was met with a surprising sight. The older girl was sat at her desk and looked like she was studying.

"Wow, I think it's the first time I ever see you at this desk."

"Hello to you too," said the blonde sarcastically as she looked up.

"Hello Candace, you look really hard-working for once."

Candace rolled her eyes but smiled nonetheless. "Stop teasing. Anyway, he's here?"

"Yeah. My room." She scrunched up her nose in disgust as Adena walked up to her. "Idiot, don't act childish... I actually wanted to talk to you about something."

"Advice on how to breakup?"

"No!" She pushed her before saying seriously. "Arsene entered Hogwarts this year."

The blonde girl turned her surprised emerald irises to the brunette by her side.

"Really? How's he doing?"

"Good, he was so happy to meet me and he can't wait to see you too."

"Well, when am I meeting him?" she asked with excitement.

"Tomorrow afternoon, I asked him and Aunt Bethany to come."

Once again, the girl couldn't hide her shock.

"You won't tell Mum, right?"

"No, it'll be just us."

"Your boy too?"

"Yeah... but he'll be with Arsène."

"Uh? There's no way I'm letting my baby cousin with that git!"

"Arsene likes him and they'll do some flying tricks."

"Why don't you ask Jacob? I can even ask James if you want."

"No. It's fine that way. Besides, Arsene wants to be a seeker like Regulus..."

"Okay, whatever," she sighed turning back to her work, looking annoyed.

"See you at dinner..."

Adena left the room, a little disappointed by how the meeting turned out to be. When she got back to her bedroom, she noticed Regulus surprisingly lying on her bed, looking up at the ceiling, then turning his head towards her.

"Welcome back."

"What are you doing Reg?"

"Testing the mattress, of course." He looked all serious as he said that and Adena just chuckled.

She walked up to him and lied at his side on her stomach, letting one of her wrap itself around his waist.

"Does it seem comfortable enough?"

"Yeah, pretty satisfying."

She laughed as she brought herself closer, snuggling her face into the crook of his neck, inhaling his scent, relaxing into him.

"Adena! We're home!" exclaimed a feminine voice from downstairs.

"My parents are home," murmured the girl.

"I could guess yeah."

She sighed before getting up, directing herself toward the door. She turned around and reached out her hand and he took a hold of it. They walked down in the hall and Adena's parents were relaxing in the grey sofa of the living-room.
