On Saturday morning, every student seemed excited for the Quidditch match of the day. Jacob was probably the most excited one as Ravenclaw's Captain. Adena liked the atmosphere, she hoped her house would win today even though the match was against Slytherin.
They were all already in the bleachers. Most students showing off blue and bronze colors in support of Ravenclaw. For today, Adena had discarded the green and silver scarf, that she still hadn't given back to her boyfriend, to wear her house colors. She still looked rather calm, although she was hoping they would win.
The crowd erupted in cheers once the players started flying in the air. The brunette's eyes going for Regulus. She hadn't told him about her hopes and had instead kissed him before saying good luck like she would usually do. However, he didn't look as confident as usual when he appeared on the pitch. She wondered if it had something to do with their Captain, Zabini who was stricter as the match approached. She waved off the worrying feeling when the match finally began. And maybe something had gone wrong in the changing room since Ravenclaw had already scored a few points even though the Slytherin keeper was usually good. He already looked frustrated and it had only been five minutes of match.
For the next minutes, Ravenclaw scored again and again. Adena watched in awe as Jacob scored half of the points, quickly making them reach seventy points. She was so happy to see this, cheering with her housemates, that the frustration of the Slytherin was easily ignored. They obviously scored some points since they were still good players, but they looked clearly weak in front of Jacob and his powerful team.
"I think we'll finally get our revenge on the Slytherins today!" exclaimed Isaac by her side.
Everyone looked as hopeful as Adena. That feeling quickly wavered off when Regulus flew down again, going to every side of the pitch in hope to catch a glimpse of the golden snitch. He looked just as frustrated as his teammates. It was not surprising since Ravenclaw had just scored one hundred and twenty points, while Slytherin was still at sixty points.
Zabini decided to ask for a time-out right after.
"Oh, looks like Zabini has finally decided to find a solution to stop the disaster! But will that be enough to fight today's favorite, a team more powerful than ever, the Ravenclaws?" screamed the commentator.
He was clearly biased as always, and his snarky comments about the Slytherins made the others laughed a lot. Adena just watched as both teams got down on the ground to talk things out, mostly Zabini shouting and taking his anger out on the team as the Ravenclaws just stared at them, shocked. Jacob was probably fuming, wondering how a Captain could act like a jerk like this with his team even if they were Slytherins.
After some minutes, both teams flew up again. This couldn't be felt by the supporters, but there was clearly a tense atmosphere on the pitch. The Slytherins were being more aggressive in their way of playing, really trying anything they could to close the distance between their points. Suddenly, both seekers came into view, flying side by side towards a golden glint just below the Slytherin bleachers. Adena could notice Zabini shouting something at Regulus in the distance while the boy was probably trying to not get distracted while he and the Ravenclaw seeker were so close to their goal.
"We're going to win!" said Arsène excitedly by Adena's side. She glanced at him with a smile which prevented her from noticing a bludger being thrown by a Slytherin beater towards the two seekers.
She turned around in time to see the Ravenclaw seeker going up while Regulus kept flying forward, trying to keep his focus as much as he could. He eventually realized the bludger coming his way, but it was too late. The Ravenclaw managed to go past him as Regulus got hit in the shoulder, making him lose his balance before falling towards the ground.
