After going to sleep late, the two lovers unsurprisingly woke up late. They were still holding each other close; the feeling was needed for both. It was so calm and quiet, barely any light would come through the curtains. Adena's head was laying on Regulus' chest. She hadn't looked at him yet, but she couldn't help clinging to him.
However, the boy decided otherwise as he left her grasp, before getting up.
"No. Don't leave me yet," whispered the brunette, grabbing his wrist.
"I'm just tidying."
"Don't. Stay with me a little longer. Please Reg," she asked, almost desperately. He did as she said, lying back down at her side. He couldn't resist any of her demand after all.
The raven-haired male was lying on his side, facing her. He could see two reddish marks on her neck and collarbone. He wanted to be gentle but maybe those love bites showcased what he truly desired.
"Did you enjoy last night?" he asked as he brought up his hand to brush away some brown hair that had fallen on her face. The girl hid behind her hands, feeling her cheeks becoming red.
"Don't ask about that!"
"But I can't stop thinking about that though," he answered, the ghost of a smile placed on his features.
"Still..."
"You can't be embarrassed now when we've been lying naked in the same bed for the past hours."
"Hush silly," she muttered while hiding her face in his only pillow she hadn't hesitated to take in hostage.
"Please, tell me," he whispered coming close to her, his hand caressing her bare back.
"Fine," said her muffled voice. Adena turned her face, which was in fact colored in a shade of pink, but she didn't say anything. Instead she just enjoyed how handsome he looked in this moment. His head was up, resting on his hand, his raven curls were falling beautifully on his forehead and cheek. And his grey eyes were simply looking back at her, not hiding his curiosity. She could even see his torso; he was pale and thin but perfect in her eyes.
"Stop staring."
"But you always stare at me!" said Adena, furrowing her eyebrows.
"Because you're pretty," he answered as a matter of fact.
"Well, you're handsome, okay!"
"Oh, thank you."
The girl blushed again after realizing she had complimented him without intending to.
"Please, tell me Adena."
He was giving her the same look of seriousness and curiosity from before, just as his other hand continued its caresses.
Taking a deep breath, she finally answered, feeling reassured enough under his soft grey eyes.
"I really enjoyed my time with you. As I said, I felt the happiest at that moment and it's true."
Her irises were shining with sincerity, and Regulus was fairly convinced by her words. It was so touching to know that.
"I see. I'm glad you did, it was your birthday present after all." He addressed her a small smile and she smiled too.
"Right. It was so good it could serve as a present for the next ten years."
"That won't happen. I'll find you other presents."
"But nothing can make me happier than you. As long as you're here with me, it's a happy birthday."
"You're too nice."
