At some point, Adena went back to the Great Hall, leaving Regulus behind with his team and teacher to celebrate some more. However, she didn't expect to get some glares coming from the Gryffindor table. Her sister, Sirius, as well as some people she didn't know. Their disappointed faces looked even more disappointed when Adena appeared. They had probably witnessed the exchange between her and Regulus, the one who had made them lose, but she didn't care. She was proud of her boyfriend and she wouldn't hide it.
"You got yourself some enemies..." said Jade as Adena sat in front of her.
"I don't care," said the girl sternly as she got rid of her scarf to eat.
"Of course, you don't care," laughed Isaac at her side.
"Adena! Your boyfriend is really good I'm raging," groaned Jacob sitting next to Isaac.
"I know. By the way, he's so good that Slughorn invited some Quidditch players to his party tonight. And Regulus agreed to give you his place to have a talk with them."
"What? Really?" asked the boy, looking at her with shining eyes.
"Yes dummy. He's not interested in becoming professional anyway."
"Really? He's so good, he's missing a real chance to become a famous Quidditch player. Why would someone decline such an offer..." murmured thoughtful Jacob and Adena tensed up. She knew exactly why he wouldn't accept the offer. She ignored the strange looks from the others who probably had their own suspicions on the subject as well.
"Anyway, that's better for me," concluded Jacob.
"Guys, maybe you'll want to come tonight. I don't think Slughorn would mind," said Eugenia.
"Hm, no thanks, from what you said it's boring. as hell"
"Jade, Noah, Millie and I will stay in the tranquility of the common room," added Isaac.
"It seems like it'll be three of us then."
"I'm so excited now," exclaimed Jacob while eating.
Both Eugenia and Adena laughed, because they knew how far from entertaining these parties could be. But they felt happy that Jacob was getting closer to his dream, nonetheless.
Like every Saturday afternoon, Adena stayed with Regulus in his room. The Slytherins were still so excited when they both entered the common room, so they were happy to find the calm of his bedroom.
"Not all Slytherins are coming tonight, right?"
"No, Slughorn only asked for the team to come and the usuals you know."
She hummed while climbing on his bed and getting out her stuff to start any homework she had late.
"Still working," he groaned, placing his head on her lap.
"At least I work, unlike you," she said sternly in response and her hand started its gentle movements in his silky locks.
"Now that Quidditch's finished I'll be more serious in my homework."
"You better. I didn't think you'd be lazy like that."
"I'm not lazy, I just decide to do my homework at the last moment."
"Tch, and you still get good marks."
"Yes, I do," laughed the boy.
Adena and Eugenia were quickly preparing themselves for Slug Club's party since Jacob had menacingly warned them to not be late.
"Oh, that dress looks cute on you. It's from your parents?" said Millie who was laying in her bed with Jade, both eating some liquorice wands while the girls were preparing themselves in a rush.
