The Ravenclaws were walking to the Quidditch pitch. Upon arriving on the Quidditch pitch, they noticed it was already crowded. They still managed to find some good spots for them to see the match.
"Oh, it's gonna start soon."
"Is Jacob a good player?" asked curiously Adena.
"He's very good. Definitely one of the top players of the school. If Potter is the best chaser then Jacob is right behind," said Noah with bright eyes.
"Noah's such a fanboy," muttered quietly Eugenia at her side, and the brunette chuckled.
"Hey! I'm just a supporting friend!" Noah's cheeks turned pink and he frowned at her.
"Oh, they're coming!" exclaimed Millie excitedly.
Adena's eyes turned towards the pitch where the two teams were walking. Her gaze found Regulus, walking behind his housemates, his own eyes roaming the crowd, looking for a certain girl. The brunette made sure to stand to the front, so he would notice her quickly and he did. He gave her a quick smile before returning to his focused self.
The players climbed on their brooms before lifting themselves up in the air. And when the referee blew the whistle, the crowd erupted into loud excited screams. Adena just stayed quiet as she watched Regulus starting to fly gracefully in the air, almost dancing with the wind. She looked at him with admiration just like last time, kind of wishing she could do the same as well. When the young Ravenclaw was lost in her thoughts, one part of the crowd exploded in cheers once again.
"Adena, did you see Jacob score?" said Noah joyfully at her side. She turned to him, seeing him look at the match with stars in his black bright eyes.
"Yeah, I did..." She decided to pay more attention at her housemate since he seemed so good. And she must admit she was impressed. He was chasing after the quaffle with so much speed. She had never seen his face contorted in such seriousness. She could tell he was a good player. And he scored again after she thought that. She clapped cheerfully, actually happy for her team but especially for Jacob. She watched for a while before her gaze returned to the Slytherin male, who was looking for the golden snitch. The way he flew so beautifully with so much speed as well, brought a bigger smile on her face than when Jacob had scored. Both teams scored as often. They were on a tie; ninety to ninety, but Ravenclaw scored again after that. Then it was Slytherin's turn to score as well. Adena thought this could go on for long if the snitch wasn't caught very soon.
It continued for a while, one hundred and thirty to one hundred and fifty for Ravenclaw but suddenly the commentator's amplified voice screamed, "Regulus Black has caught the golden snitch! Slytherin wins with two hundred and eighty points!"
Many groans were heard among the crowd but the Slytherin's roars of victory were much louder. Adena's eyes spotted Regulus flying in the air, the golden snitch in one hand. He slowly got down on the ground, receiving many compliments from his teammates. The brunette didn't waste time and decided to go down the stairs to reach the pitch, ignoring the calls of her confused housemates.
Adena was nearing the pitch, but she stayed outside, waiting for Regulus as the other students went back to the castle, either not bearing the cold anymore or just being hungry. The Slytherin must have seen her leave the bleachers as he got out the changing room pretty fast, and all dressed up in his normal winter clothes. He smiled at her when noticing her.
"So, you actually came."
"Of course, I told you! And I don't regret it, you were very good up there."
The boy's lips turned into a bashful grin as he then said, "But your team lost."
She shrugged a bit. "I don't really care, I told you I wasn't into Quidditch, I'm more worried for Jacob however, he was so confident..."
