Waking up the next day was difficult. Just as difficult as packing stuff one last time or going down for breakfast one last time. The atmosphere was sad among the seventh years. Barely anyone was speaking.

"Come to my house on my birthday, we could have a birthday party," suggested Noah after long minutes of silence.

"Yes, let's do that," said smiling Millie and the others agreed. Slowly, they begun discussing a little to fill the silence.

After breakfast, they quickly went up to finish packing their stuff and Adena took her time looking around the bedroom, looking at every furniture present there.

"Argh I don't wanna leave this room, it's so comfortable," grunted Eugenia lying on her bed.

"Nobody wants to leave," added Jade with a sigh.

She was right. Nobody really wanted to leave. But they still had to. The four girls, after taking one last glance at their bedroom and common room, started leaving the Ravenclaw tower. They were soon joined by Noah, Isaac, and Jacob. They had managed to form a strong group of friends through the years, knowing they wouldn't part ways soon and it was reassuring for all of them.

They took one last stroll in the castle, visited the park and the courtyard one last time, before finally going down to the lake under the burning sun of the summer. They hopped in the little boats as it was the tradition. Arriving at the castle in those, leaving in those as well. Adena went in with Eugenia, the one who accompanied her on the first trip in first year.

"In the end we became friends," said the redhead girl as the boat started moving, led by Hagrid, the gamekeeper.

"Yeah I know. That's so funny, you must have been the first person I talked to," replied the brunette.

"Wow I'm so happy," she said in a small voice, alarming the brunette who turned her head towards her. The girl noticed small tears gliding down of her friend's pale cheeks.

"Don't cry silly," whispered Adena with a little smile as she side-hugged her. In the inside, Eugenia was very sensitive even though she wouldn't show it, and Adena knew it.

When they arrived on the other side, she was still holding onto her friend.

"Hey girls!" exclaimed Jacob's voice from behind them. When they both turned around the boy started laughing. "Eugenia why are you crying silly," he said coming to her side.

"I'm just sad to leave..."

The others joined them after some seconds, and unsurprisingly, Noah was shedding a few tears as well. Seeing that, Jacob, who had one arm around Eugenia's shoulders, walked up to Noah with her and started hugging him the same way.

"He is surprisingly the most comforting person among us," said Isaac as they started following them.

After a ride in carriage they arrived at the train station in Hogsmeade.

"We'll meet later," said Adena as she led a sobbing Noah in the train.

She sent little smiles to the prefects already present in the compartment and went to sit at her usual table where Regulus was already sitting.

"What's going on?" he asked without showing too much interest.

"Poor Noah is all sad and nostalgic. Eugenia was crying too," replied the brunette as she sat with her friend, still holding him. She was looking at him with a fond smile.

"You're so caring," said Regulus, smiling at her.

"It's normal," she replied still smiling.

Noah looked up. His tears had stopped but he wouldn't let go of Adena, holding onto her hand and laying his head on her shoulder. The girl decided to stay by his side and the ride was mostly quiet between them. It was a comfortable silence. Adena guessed everyone and even Regulus felt a bit of sadness. She could notice when she glanced up at him, he was staring out of the window, lost in his thoughts. Sometimes he would look in her direction, his grey eyes soft when falling upon her and they would share a smile.
