Adena awoke the next day with a warm sensation enveloping her. It made her want to go back to sleep as it felt so good. She stirred a little and felt suddenly a pair of arms tightening its grasp on her. But the embrace was so comforting. The girl only remembered what was happening as she opened her eyelids, noticing it wasn't her room. She recognized Regulus' room just liked she recognized his embrace. The other boys had come back to the room during the night, she noticed as well. She had no idea what time it was. The brunette turned a little, so she would be face to face with Regulus. He was snoring lightly, but nothing that had bothered her to sleep since she had a great night of sleep. The young Ravenclaw wasn't feeling shy about sleeping with him since she had rested so well.

Adena turned around again, and took a hold of his hand, interlocking their fingers, playing with them, stroking his hand, and just waiting for him to wake up as she closed her eyes again. The young girl hadn't realized she had fallen back asleep until she noticed she had stopped stroking Regulus' hand and instead he was now giving her the gesture. Once again, she faced him and this time he had his eyes open.

"Good morning Adena," he whispered in a low voice, sounding a little hoarse from just waking up which made the girl shiver.

"Good morning Regulus," she whispered back, a small smile on her lips. The next thing she knew was that he was kissing her softly. That was the best way to wake up in her opinion. One of her hands started brushing his wild curls and he detached himself after a few seconds.

"How do you still look good with your messy hair like that..." she whispered with a light pout, looking frustrated, as she continued brushing his raven curls.

The boy chuckled and she added, "My hair must be a mess and I must look super tired. Do I have dark circles under my eyes?"

The Slytherin looked at her girlfriend. "Yes," he clearly stated.

"Argh I must be ugly."

"Not all. You're still pretty."

"But I have bags..."

"But it doesn't make you ugly."

His grey eyes looked at her with so much sincerity and seriousness that she had no time to doubt his words. He was serious. He always was.

They enjoyed each other's presence for a while, taking their time to fully wake up, him having his hands tangled in her hair again as she relaxed against his touch.

"We should go eat breakfast."

"Hm, what time is it."

He turned around, looking at the clock. "It's eight."

"Let's go then," she said, sitting up and removing the covers. He followed suite and got down of his bed. They left after putting back on their shoes.

They arrived together in the Great Hall and just made their way to their respective tables.

Adena could see her three roommates talking together in hushed voices.

"Good morning, girls." And they froze on the spot, looking up at her with innocent smiles. Adena just sat by Millie's side and poured hot tea in a cup.

"Hello there, did you sleep well Adena?" asked Jade curiously.

Before she could answer, Eugenia exclaimed, "Did you two do it?"

"Eugenia, we said not this!" then said Millie in a scolding manner.

Adena was looking at her red-haired friend with wide eyes, not unexpecting such a question. "What do you mean?"

"Don't play innocent, you know, you and Black," she said with a suggestive look which confused the brunette.

"Why would you say that."

"Well, you didn't sleep in your bed..." said Jade.

"... I did sleep in my bed though."

"Why were you with Black then?" It was Millie's turn to pester the young girl with questions.

"Morning stroll," she answered nonchalantly while sipping on her tea.

"But your hair is a mess, as if you had just woken up," commented the black-haired girl in front of her, a smirk tugged on her lips.

"Okay okay! I slept in his dorm!" sighed the brunette.

"So, did you two..?" asked again, Eugenia.

"What?" said Adena rather harshly.

"You know, get nasty." As she spoke, she waved her eyebrows up and down.

"What the hell Eugenia! We didn't have sex!" exclaimed the brunette annoyed which got the attention of some curious stares at the table.

"Okay, sorry..." she laughed as she said that.

"We talked then slept. It's not because I sleep with my boyfriend that it will obviously end up like that you know..."

"Okay, but you better tell me when you do it!"

"No way."

"C'mon we love the crusty details," whined Eugenia.

"Agree," said Jade behind her glass of pumpkin juice.

"Well that's not about to happen. I'm not interested in sex."

"You're weird for a sixteenth-years-old."

"I'm not like those horny teens exactly," concluded Adena with a sigh.

For the rest day, Adena focused mainly on her homework which she wasn't going to finish so soon. It exhausted her just to think about how much homework the sixth-years would have to do for the next five months.

The next few days were much more comfortable in the common room, no more tension in the Ravenclaw house. Jacob was back to his normal self, except that he was more determined than usual. He had even stopped complaining about the extra Quidditch training sessions. The Slytherins also got extra-training sessions which became harder for Adena and Regulus to see each other. Usually she would go watch him on Saturday mornings or meet with him when he was done at dinner time. The Slytherins had got more determined as well since they had a chance to win the Quidditch cup this year after winning their first two matches. Adena could even feel Regulus' competition spirit starting to unveil itself. Very often, on Saturday afternoons she would go back to his bedroom. Then she would sit on his bed and he would lay his head on her legs. One of Adena's hand would be massaging through his curls as he ranted about the training session of the morning, while her other hand would be completing whatever homework she had to do for the next week.

"Tell me if it gets too boring," the boy would sometimes say in the middle of his ranting.

"No continue, I'm listening." And that was always true. The Ravenclaw would mainly focus on his words that sounded the same after each practice, but she didn't care. If he liked talking then she would listen even if Quidditch was the most boring thing to her.

And after finishing, he would stay quiet, before saying in a sleepy voice, "Thank you for listening."

"I'm always here to hear you out," she would whisper back, looking at his fluttering eyelids, watching as he quickly fell into a light slumber, while she was still massaging his scalp obviously.

She enjoyed very much those afternoons even if she wasn't very productive in her homework, she knew she could always make it at night when she didn't have to patrol through the castle. Adena would rather share her free time with Regulus, appreciating the soft moments by his side that made her so content. Regulus made her so happy, in every moment.

February ended under the snow. During the whole month, the weather was so chilly. Adena almost regretted agreeing to Regulus' proposition of watching him practice on Saturday mornings. He eventually told her to stop coming for the last ones since she was always freezing cold. The only times the girl would be outside were to attend her Herbology lessons in the greenhouses. These were the rare times she actually liked these classes since it felt so hot under the greenhouses.
