Thursday , 30th August 1978

The next day, Candace brought Adena and the others to the nearest beach since Adena had no idea where it was located. The fresh salted air felt so good. There was a light wind which was enjoyable with this summer heat. As to celebrate Adena's birthday, Jacob and Isaac decided to throw the poor girl into the sea, making her completely drenched. The others obviously laughed at her.

"You two have a death wish," said the girl while glaring at them.

"It was Jacob's idea," said Isaac with an innocent expression.

"I don't care you jerks!"

A few curses flew out of her wand after that. She didn't care whether Muggles were watching the scene. There weren't many and they weren't even paying any attention to a bunch of teenagers acting silly. The four others watching them just laughed even harder.

When they came back, they spent more time talking together in the garden while munching on the biscuits Pimchin had prepared for them. Candace eventually joined them. She decided to enjoy all her free time before starting her Healer studies in a few days. They all left when it was dinner time. Adena had such a good moment with them, she even wished they could have stayed more longer together but she knew it was a matter of days before they could see each other again.

"Adena."

The girl turned around when she heard her sister call out her name.

"Yes?"

"You looked like you were enjoying yourself," she said, almost serious but she was smiling.

"Yeah, I was."

Candace hated to admit it but Adena had changed. She would prefer to see her with someone else rather than Regulus Black, but he was the one making her that happy, no doubt. And she loved seeing her sister like this. It was the happiest she had ever seen her, except when she was a young child maybe. And of course she wished this could last long but she despised so much Regulus, she really hated the idea of her sister dating and loving such scum like him whether he was a Death Eater or not yet.

The first of September came by quickly, making the brunette even more joyful. Time had passed by faster this summer, she couldn't deny it. It was the best holidays she ever had obviously but she was also happy to comeback, to be back to her usual school life with her housemates and Regulus. But the girl couldn't help feeling a little pang in her chest when she thought about doing this for the last time ever. Going for the last time at King Cross, riding the red locomotive for the last time on September 1st. It was hard to realize but she knew it was the last time.
