As i walk upstairs, not totally clear minded, the one thing i can count on is that cali will understand me and minny will love me.
One thing i couldnt count on?
That minny is ready. For this. A family. I just dont know if she wants... Us. A husband, a family, a life together.
I dont need to worry about that yet. Just need to talk to minny, she was gonna play a big part in this if she was willing. First, i need to sober up and spend time with my lil sister.
"wake up princess" i whispered softly, trying to suprise her.
"mehhhhh" she mumbled in protest, trying to roll over.
My is she moody today.
"I heard someone had a good first day at kindergarten, wonder who that is?" i said, attempting to coax her into talking to me.
"it was meeeeee!!!!" she yelled/sang as loud as she could.
"tell me about it!!!" i asked, genuinely intrested in her daily life. She kept me on my toes with some of the things she said.
"well, i met mr. Clouse, my teacher, and he thinks minny's pretty. He asked her out in a date." she said mater-o-factly, with a hint of pride.
I thought she had said something about it earlier, but... I didnt think she was serious.
Atleast she said no. She is as loyal as they come. I don't know why i was so worried... Oh yeah, cuz jason talks with his fists.
"what else?" i asked, trying to bypass the subject.
"well, i went on the monkey bars, and i learned that you aren't allowed to throw rocks at eachother and that girls and boys have their own bathrooms and i got MY OWN LUNCH, ALL BY MYSELF!!!" She said with pride, looking at me intensly.
"really???" i asked, faking suprise with impressive skill.
"but now its a snow day so... Can we go build a snow fort?" she asked hopefully, looking at me with begging eyes.
...how can i say no to that?
"if you go down.stairs and ask minny while i get dressed!" i said, running to find a pair of sweats and a.pair of heavy duty jeans.
I heard the door slam and ran to get dressed.
I guess i never thought id have a kid yo build snow forts with when we were together and minny found out she couldn't have kids. Not that she ever wanted any.
Funny how things work out.
Finally dressed, i ran down stairs to see my queen singing to my princess.
Could they be any more beautiful?
Not even if they tried.
But it was snow fort time.
"the kingdom is under attack!!!" i yelled as cali jumped down.
"to the fowt!!!" she yelled, not being able to pronounce fort.
I picked her up, giving minny a kiss before running out the door.
