Aurora blue

I did not want my eyes
To see such vibrance like this,
As if I am swimming through
An ocean of serpentina gowns
That scaled the metallics of the color wheel
And jet black tuxedos ironed for the gods.

But I am forced to,

For I am surrounded by catalysts
Of identity-building
That choose to give voices
To surface complexions;
While gems and rhinestones get louder,
They become the hearts that wither
And fall softer.
