━━━ ❦ ━━━

Star-like, star-ish, star-esque

You're a star first painted
By fingers pale and nimble.
Drawn from the skylines
To linger in a heart
So young, so strong, so little.

The same stars fall from space
Onto a ceiling we call night.
From there, they are nurtured.
From there, they are called to grow,
Until their wings adopt flight.
They are constants, no more.
