Rooftop ruminations
I'm jealous of dreamers who are all caught up in
Their crimson visions of a life once unimagined
That now happens to be just within arm's reach.
I envy dreamers who romance their thoughts with
Coffee, and its aroma that fills their solemn daybreaks
With elegance. I'd kill to be part of their dates, letting
Time run free by the minute as they'd pour their every
Living thought into their hobbies, turned happiness.
I ache with unrest at how they cradle their creations
In capsules of their journeys that hold unrelenting
Waves of passion, rushing golden within their bodies.
What I would do to be one with a dreamer's solitude
That creates ripples of resounding stories and callings.
What I would give to know my newest, truest destiny,
And to experience the same faithful breakthrough
When I look past my rooftop to see the earth's canvas.
Below the sun-dyed colors wrapped in precious time,
You'd see me. Trapped in the same eternal wish
For years, ages, milestones, and lifetimes on end.━━━ ❦ ━━━
