Ch 4: "Plans"

(Katie's pov)

After all of that ruckus, Brenda and I went to the cafeteria. Too much talking and being nervous made me hungry.
Brenda: We should eat some salad today- Oh, I have to go for a little. I'll be right back!
Katie: Huh? Y-Yeah, sure.

(Brenda's pov)

My phone was ringing, so when I saw it was Foxy I got to another place.

Foxy: Bren... It worked as planned.
Brenda: Really? Wow... It's the 10th try and finally... Those two are one for each other.

(Flashback)

Foxy and I have known each other since high school. We are friends since then. When I knew Katie, I thought she was the one for him. I tried to put them together, but... It didn't work. Some weeks later, he began talking about his friend, Felix. He also showed me some photos of him, and told me about his personality. After all of that... We decided he was the perfect match for Katie. We made a plan to put them together. Again, it didn't work. We worked on some other plans, but those didn't work either. Finally, I had the idea of him sick and me checking him every week. "They could meet each other if we do that!" I thought. After several tries, we managed to get them to know each other.
Foxy and I were inside my consulting room, as we saw Katie and Felix talking. Suddenly, Felix took Katie's glasses and started running away.

Foxy: What the heck is he doing?!
Brenda: Idk. Oh, wait! He came back. I hope nothing is awkward outside.

We continued watching as they got closer.

Brenda: This is not what I expected at all.
Foxy: Those two- Hey, what are you doing?!

I hoped things weren't being strange between them, and the best way was interrupting whatever they were doing. I mean- They just met for the first time and were about to kiss?? I went out and pretended Foxy and I were done.

(Present time)

(Katie's pov)

Brenda was taking too long, so I decided to go home.

When I got to my room, (after taking a bath) I quickly took out my phone and checked my messages. There wasn't any new notifications. I was about to fall asleep when I heard some ringing.

"Felix :D : Hey! Are you asleep? 😶"

What the- We met 1 hour ago and he was already messaging me?!
"I guess I'll answer" I thought.

(Felix's pov)

I messaged Katie as soon as I got home. I know, this might be strange, but I felt the need to know how she was doing.

Texts 😉

Felix :D : Hey! Are you asleep? 😶
Katie ✨: Nope! I was about to fall asleep hehe 😅
Felix :D : Oh! Sorry then. I just wanted to know.
Katie ✨: Don't worry.
Felix :D : Well, I also wanted to ask you if we can hang out to know each other better. You know, as friends.
Katie ✨: Uhm... Let me think a moment about it.
Felix :D : Okay, I'll wait.

*5 minutes later...*

Katie ✨: At what time tomorrow?
Felix :D : Wait. Are ya coming? Is it okay at 6 p. m.?
Katie ✨: Sure! Where?
Felix :D : Can we meet at the Carnival? I work there. Then, we can go wherever you want.
Katie: Okay! See you tomorrow, friend!

(Katie's pov)

You asking if I like him?? Well, no. I mean... I just met him, it's just... I like the idea of knowing him better.
