(Katie's pov)
I opened the little box and could see there was a couple of contact lenses inside.
Felix: I just thought you would need them. It's okay if you don't like-
I went right to Felix and hugged him.
Katie: That was a weird way to think, but... Thanks! Felix: Well, no problem!

Felix: Ok, stop. That's way too much cuteness... Katie: Oh, well then.
I released him and could see he was red, like a tomato.
Pony: Hello... Did you guys forget I was here? Felix: N-no, let's just go... with the rest... Katie: Sure... But let me go somewhere first.
After all of this, I went to my room (the one I shared with Kitty and Pandy) and looked at the mirror to finally try on my new contact lenses. I put them on my eyes and went out again.

Pony and I were waiting outside, battling some infected, when I heard some footsteps.
Felix: You are here! What took you so long-?

He knocked out an infected who was going to attack me.
Pony: Stop getting distracted, Felix! Felix: Y-yeah, sorry. Katie, can you help us? Katie: Sure! Count me in!
We finished with the infected in no time, but I still couldn't stop looking at... her.
Katie: Well, that was it. Let's head back. Pony: Ok, Felix, are you coming? Felix: What? Oh, yeah. Coming.
(Katie's pov)
We went inside the base, where the others were still waiting.
Kitty: You guys are back! Here, eat something. Pandy: What were y'all doing outside? Katie: You know... Keeping the infected out of here and stuff... Baren: Can I ask something? Katie: What is it? Baren: Why is he like that? Katie: Huh? What do you mean?
I looked at Felix and he was like in a trance, looking at me in a strange way.
Katie: Oh... that. Felix, can you hear me? Felix? Felix: I'm screwed. Katie: What? Felix: *yawns* Is anyone else sleepy? I'm going upstairs to rest.
He left, and gotta say, he was acting really strange.
Rash: What- It's 10 a.m.!!
I kept looking at the stairs.
Tigry: Do you... know what is happening to Felix? Katie: No... This is really strange. I'm going to talk with him.
I went to his room and saw him laying on his bed, looking at the door.
Katie: Felix, are you okay? What happened? Felix: It's nothing. I'm just tired. Katie: Hey, tell me if something is wrong, I'll try to help you. Felix: It's really nothing. You just... reminded me of someone. Katie: Yeah? Who is it? Felix: My childhood crush... Claire.

He decided to tell me everything.
(Felix's pov)
(Flashback)
I was in middle school when I met her. A female siamese cat who was really talkative. Claire and I used to be best friends, but she seemed to like me. I fell for her too, but I wasn't sure of my feelings. As time passed, she started trying to avoid me.
Felix: Hey, do you want to do the class project with me? Claire: Well, I was actually going to do it with Ruby. Ruby: What? But I don't even know you... Claire: *whispers* Shut up and cooperate. You see, I'm busy now. Gotta go.
I didn't think too much about it, but she was acting really strange. A couple of months later, I encouraged myself and decided it was the perfect time to confess.
Felix: Claire, can we talk for a moment? Claire: I... need to... go now! The teacher called me.
She was walking away, but I grabbed her hand.
Felix: Please... It's important. Claire: *sighs* Okay, but do it quickly. Felix: The thing is... Claire... I like you. Claire: I'm sorry, what?! Felix: I said what I said. Claire: Felix, do you even realize? I'm a cat, you're a fox. We can't be friends and now you are saying you like me? Felix: What do you mean we can't be friends? We've been best friends for two years! Claire: I started talking to you just because I felt pitied! And you know what? I don't want you nearby anymore!
After those words, she left and we never talked again.
(Present time)
Felix: And that was the first time someone broke my heart. Katie: ...Did you ever... get to know why she did that? Felix: Actually... Yes. I discovered she had a group of friends that convinced her saying different species can't be together. Katie: It's always society. I guess you felt really hurt. But... Why did I suddenly remind you of her? Felix: You look very similar. And now, your eye color is just like hers. Katie: Oh... Why didn't you tell me about this before? Felix: I guess it wasn't necessary. Katie: Hey. I can promise something. I'm not like her, okay? I'll never stop being around you just because you're not a cat. I mean... Look at my friends! The only cat amongst them is Kitty! I'm not like Claire and if I ever get to know her... Felix: Okay, enough. I get it now. Thanks.
