Ch 30: "A restless night"

(Katie's pov)

Katie: Everyone, get to the exit NOW!

We all started running towards the exit of the building. We were almost there when I noticed our bags in a room. I went inside.

"25 seconds for the explosion".

Felix: Katie, what are you doing? We need to get out of here!
Katie: I'm taking the stuff from here!
Felix: There's no time!

He decided to help me. We were carrying all of our friends' bags, running as far as we could from the refinery.

Filip: Guys! Around here!

"5 seconds for the explosion".

We went with everyone else, and just 4 seconds later, we were all covering our ears and looking away. It was such a loud noise. The explosion consumed the whole place.
Then, finally, some silence. A great, long silence. We were all fine, but...

Baren: Where are we going now?
Pandy: Our base... It's destroyed.

More silence. Everyone just looked at each other, all of us were desperately trying to figure it out. No answer. Tigry left Kitty laying on the floor, as the rest of the members just looked at the ruined building from afar.

Willow: Guys, I found their-

Willow looked at us.

Willow: What happened here?
Katie: The... The prisoner escaped and blew up the place.

She widened her eyes.

Willow: What... Who...

She immediately turned to Tigry.

Willow: I left you in charge, and this is what you cause? You tactless tiger, all of this is your fault! I'm so sick of you!

Willow was about to punch him, but someone got in her way. It was Kitty.

Kitty: Leave him be, it's not his fault!
Willow: Get out of the way, you piece of-
Kitty: I'm not going to let you hurt him. He is my friend, and you can't do this to us. Is that what being a leader means to you?

Complete silence. We were all looking at the scene. Willow finally stopped herself.

Willow: *sighs* Let's just go, guys.

We all followed Willow. She said there was one more place where we could go. We were all silent, walking. Tigry was carrying Kitty on his back, again. He said it was because "she needed to rest". Well, I'm the doctor, I know she could walk perfectly, the gas didn't affect her that way. (So yeah, he was just making up an excuse to carry her, and it was cute.)

(Felix's pov)

I looked at Katie. She was seeing the cute scene in front of us.

Katie: They look great together, don't they?
Felix: Yeah...

We continued walking for about twelve... or fifteen more minutes until we got to a factory.

Felix: Is this it?
Willow: Yes.
Katie: *sighs* Well, what are we waiting for?

We all went inside. I didn't find the place really comfortable. As I said, it was a factory. Or at least that's what we thought. When walking around the place, we saw... cells. Lots of cells. I still wonder why to this day.

Willow: Ok. Get yourselves comfortable in here. We are going to stay for a long time. Now, everyone, girls to one room and boys to the other one. Quick!

We didn't say anything. We just followed her orders. It was the best for us at that moment.
