Ch 33: "All by ourselves"

(Katie's pov)

Willow: Are you sure I can trust you?

Those were the last words that came from Willow's mouth during my conversation with her. It had been three hours since the other group decided to go up north with her, and I was volunteering myself to stay in charge of everyone. Somebody had to take care of the group, right?

Katie: Don't worry, Willow. I'll take good care of them.

She sighed, grabbed a piece of paper, wrote an address on it, and gave it to me.

Willow: Okay then, but if you get in trouble, take everyone here.

I grinned.

Katie: Alright, I will.

Willow gave me a little smile. A sincere smile. I was startled. Then, she just left.

Y/N: Let's get going, guys!

Y/N approached me before leaving.

Y/N: Thanks for the help, Katie Cat. I don't where I'd be now if it wasn't for you.
Katie: *smiles* No. Thanks to you, officer. Thank you for helping me and my friends, and for showing us there's still hope.
Y/N: Aww, well, you are welcome I guess.
Katie: Oh, and don't worry about your friend. He's gonna be okay here with us.
Y/N: Why are you telling me that?
Katie: I don't know. Probably I just saw that mole's concern. Mimi, right?
Y/N: Oh, Mimi? Don't think too much about it. Normally, she worries about him. She's his girlfriend.
Katie: Oh... Now I get it.
Y/N: Yeah...

A kid's voice shouted.

Zuzy: Y/N! Let's go now! I'm tired of waiting!

Y/N sighed.

Y/N: Well, guess I'll get going now. Stay safe!

We high-fived. I saw how everyone waved their hands, saying goodbye.

Katie: *shouts* Good luck, guys!

I felt a hand on my shoulder and saw Felix by my side waving his other hand as well.

Felix: *shouts x2* Hope y'all find what you are looking for!

He smiled at me, and I could hear one more voice.

Filip: *shouts x3* The weather is freezing up north! Make sure not to catch a cold!

After all of that, they left.

Felix: Let's head inside.

We were headed towards the inside of the Factory while talking.

Katie: Uhh... So... Where's Kitty? She disappeared some minutes after we went out.
Filip: Kitty? Oh, she's inside her room. She was talking to someone.
Felix: She may be going crazy.
Katie: Okay... What about Pandy?
Filip: Inside our room, with Baren and Giraffy. That was his name, right? Anyway, they are waiting for you.
Katie: Oh, okay. Thanks for telling me.
Felix: And... Do you know anything about Tigry?

I realized. I hadn't seen him ever since Willow called him useless! Did he feel that bad for it?

Katie: No, I haven't seen him in the past 4 hours. But I guess he'll appear soon. He's Tigry, after all.
Felix: Okay then. Go to the room, they are waiting for you.
Katie: Alright, I will. See you later, guys!
Filip: Bye!
Felix: Break a leg!

I went to the room, entered, and talked to Baren and Pandy.

Katie: Hey, guys. Is my patient alright?
Pandy: Yeah, just a bit afraid. Or... *nervous laugh* at least he was.

I looked at Giraffy. He was knocked out!

Katie: What the-
Pandy: Ask Baren.
Katie: Baren?
Baren: Uhh... Well, he started panicking, and we didn't know what to do. Pandy searched for some anesthetic to calm him down, but there wasn't any-
Katie: Go straight to the point. Baren. What did you do to him?
Baren: I... Well, the point is I... Haha, I...
Pandy: Long story short, he ended up losing his sanity and knocked him out with Filip's bat. Hehe...
Katie: What-
Pandy: Yeah, um... Anyways... Uhh, we were going to leave now, right Baren?
Baren: Uhh... Yeah, goodbye, good luck. Bye.
