Ch 32: "Getting along"

(Katie's pov)

The whole night passed by, but I couldn't sleep. I was thinking. First of all, there was only one bed inside the cell, so I wondered if Pony and his friends were able to rest. Second, it was really cold, and I was freezing. Well, that was something I didn't care about.
And third... About Felix's recent behavior. He had been influenced by Willow to the point I started thinking he would probably even end up acting like her. A few months ago, he would've let me free them. Why was he like this now?

Well, I must say everyone was acting differently. The only one who came to look at how I was doing was Kitty. The rest of them probably forgot about my existence.

Katie: *sighs* It's alright. It's not their fault. There's nothing I can do anyways.

The next morning came in the blink of an eye. When going to get breakfast, I crossed with Willow.

Katie: Oh, good morning.
Willow: ... Hi. I was gonna look for you. There are some boxes in my office, so I need you to take them to the room that's right next.

"Goodness, do you have to be always giving orders?"

Willow: Katie? I haven't heard you say yes.

I sighed.

Katie: Yes, Willow.

We both suddenly heard a strong sound. As if... As if someone went out of a cell! Willow rushed over to see what was happening, and I silently followed her. I hid behind a wall and saw... Tigry was about to throw one of his knives at the prisoners! I was almost going over there, but I could see he just lowered it. I smiled a little bit. The bad thing started when Willow got there and pushed Tigry aside.

Willow: Useless tiger. Looks like I'm gonna have to deal with them myself.

She looked at the Safe Place group with hatred and pointed her weapon at Pony.

Willow: This one's for you, William.

She pulled the trigger. Fortunately, one of Pony's dear friends, Giraffy, jumped quickly to cover him. He received the bullet's impact in his stomach and ended up laying on the floor, bleeding. Pony immediately went to look after him.

Giraffy: I- I hope this is... Enough to forgive me for Zizzy...

The equine looked at his injured pal, with tears in his eyes.

Pony: It's more than enough, Giraffy.

Officer Y/N, who was already sick of it, was the next to talk.

Y/N: Get him out of here, do what you can for him.

Then, they took a step forward and challenged the wolf who made their lives miserable.

Y/N: I'm tired of running, Willow. Let's settle this.

Willow smirked.

Willow: You won't be that determined when I rip off your face. With pleasure. Let's dance, darling.

(Katie's pov)

What the hell? We raid their home, lock them, and now Willow attacks them!?

"It's enough already".

I was right about to get out of my hiding spot when someone pulled me. I looked at him. It was Felix.

Felix: *whispers* What do you think you are doing? Do you want to die or something?
Katie: *whispers too* Leave me alone, it's none of your business. Oh, wait. You are going to stop me from going there and putting an end to that nonsense fight? Let me guess, did Willow tell you to do this? ... Hold on a sec... Nevermind. Why do I even ask? It's already obvious.
Felix: Katie, stop. You know you'd risk yourself by doing this. I don't know who told you I am like her, okay? I am not.
Katie: Felix, you got mad at me for trying to save innocent people! No one told me that but you and your selfish behavior!
Felix: I was trying to protect you! What if she finds out about what you did?
Katie: Whether she finds out or not, it wasn't correct to just leave them! Foxy would have done the same and you know it-!
Felix: But Foxy is not here anymore!
