Fresh jasmine.

That's what he smelt like today as we both walked beside each other, the wind sending my bangs all over the place.

"Sooo, tell me about a pretty place you know around here."

I looked up at him as the sunlight made his pale skin appear tanned, while his blonde hair ruffled by the wind.

Sir which conditioner do you use?

Felix burst out laughing, his deep voice failing to go unnoticed by me amidst the embarrassing realization that I thought that aloud.

"Why, thank you, I use a lot of hair essences actually."

"Let me show you instead."

"Huh?" He looked at me with confusion drawn over his face.

I avoided his eyes as my cheeks burned in embarrassment. "A pretty place."

He chuckled seeing me pick up my pace as I walked ahead after changing the topic like that.

I was too busy mentally scolding myself to notice he gazed at me the same way I did when he was walking ahead while going to the library the previous time we had met.

"How do I know that you're not going to kill me?"

A giggle escaped me at that. "I mean, I am not going to assure you that I don't have plans like that. This place does seem like the perfect place to kill someone."

We were in the middle of a serene forest, walking on the rocky surface between large oak trees that stood against the skyline.

Turning around to look at his reaction, I snickered at his horrified face.

He was biting back a smile though.

"I honestly love forests." Felix struck up a conversation, and I listened quietly. "It's peaceful to be among the woods and get away from the world and everyone."

"Then I have a feeling you will love this place."

As we neared a corner, I moved aside the familiar entwined branches, both of us getting smudged by leaves in the process as Felix's curiosity rose every second that ticked by. We stepped out of the bushy space, the lake before us coming into view and I heard a gasp leaving his mouth. Awestruck by the beauty of nature, Felix went agape as he walked out slowly into the open space.

"This place is..... beautiful."

His eyes wandered all over the place, from the green fir trees down the blue lake where the forest green trees casted a dark shadow on the crystalline water, contrasting the reflection of the azure sky. The fiery glow of the afternoon sun shone on the pebbles that sat along the coast as the surface of the water bathed in gold.

"I am glad you liked it. I come here when I feel low."

His eyes softened at that.

"Thank you for bringing me here."

I waved him off, saying it was nothing.

He is the first person I've told about this place to, though.
