We sat down, gazing at the scenery with admiration as the swishing leaves of the lush trees flickered like glitter due to the rays of the sun on the opposite coast.

"Tell me about yourself."

I turned my head towards him as he drew cute figures on the ground with a rock.

"High school junior at Seoul High. I've been living in this neighborhood since I was a kid and I found this place when I was going through a hard time and rushed out from school running with no destination in mind." I trailed off, the memory crossing my mind. I shook my head lightly before continuing, thankful that his head was turned towards the ground as he dragged the rock against the ground. "I live with my best friend in an apartment since a year, and working at the café since then. I don't have many friends at school, I have four friends though, two of them the ones you might have seen at the café, who make my life worth living."

Felix listened in silence, smiling at the last part. He dusted his hands off, staring at his finished work on the ground with a proud grin. I chuckled softly as my eyes landed on the two small chicks he drew.

"I used to live in Gimpo, where I met Minho, my best friend. I moved here in Seoul because of my dad who got transferred here for work." He stared into the distance as he spoke, stopping for a moment to laugh at the scene of two birds that were either playing with each other mid-air or wrestling instead.

"Minho is gonna move here too. I was so happy when he decided to move here. I am not nervous anymore about living in a different city, different school with no friends. He is currently searching for an affordable yet cozy apartment to move into in this neighborhood so that we can go to school together, but he isn't able to find good options."

I remembered the apartments on the second floor that have been empty for a while. "Oh! There are a few unrented apartments in my building. He can try checking it out. It's quite nearby too, I can give you the website information if you want."

"That's good news! He would love to check it out since he wants to move in as soon as possible. Send it to me later."

"Yeah sur- wait." I stuttered, realization sharply cutting its way through.

Felix let out a cute laugh, pulling out his phone as he handed it to me.

"I will text you."

My heart hopped. Quite literally.

How much I wish I was immune to finding this boy attractive.

If that wasn't enough, things took a turn for the worse.

While he was handing his phone to me, our hands brushed against each other.

We both froze.

I don't know why he froze though.

Instantly taking it from him as he let go, he let out a nervous laugh while I did the same while hurriedly tapping in the digits.

I can almost imagine god staring at us with crossed arms and a raised eyebrow.

I had no clue why we were laughing.

One thing is for sure though.

Felix is starting to have an effect on me.
