Chapter 22

"KANG YURI MY BABY ARE YOU HOME?"

Jisung's ear-splitting voice was what sent us both flying away from each other.

I am not sure if I was happy about it.

"Y-yes I am home!" I shouted as my heart was about to jump out of my chest. Jisung walked into the kitchen before getting startled seeing another person in the room, putting his hand on his chest.

"Wow, hey Felix. Nice seeing you again." Jisung laughed while the latter laughed nervously in return.

"Why do you both look so awkward?" Jisung squinted his eyes as they bounced back and forth between me and Felix.

"What are you talking about?" I faked a laugh.

Jisung stared at us for a moment longer before widening his eyes. "Something happened between you two! Didn't it?"

I almost choked on air.

"I think I am gonna go." Felix chuckled nervously while pointing at the door, tiptoeing towards it with quick steps, then the next second he was gone.

He basically escaped from the situation.

I wished I could escape too as I glared at the smirking squirrel face in the room.

"Aren't you supposed to be at the amusement park with Minho?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, it was closed so we just grabbed some ice cream. We are gonna go tonight when it's open." He shrugged.

I wiggled my eyebrows at him. "Amusement park date huh?"

He wiggled his eyebrows at me. "Kissing in the kitchen huh?"

"HAN JISUNG."

Jeongin pressed down on the machine to prepare a customer's coffee. "Are you guys done with packing for the trip tomorrow?"

"No, not yet. I will do it tonight. Have you?" I wiped the counter.

"Of course!" He grinned with enthusiasm.

"I got a little more packing left to do then I'm done~" Lia sang while plating some desserts for a customer. "Yuri, wear that pink sweater you bought with me that day, I will wear my blue one." She shot me a smile before walking away to serve the order.

I nodded, adding coffee beans to the espresso machine as they got ground up before turning towards Jeongin.

"Innie?"

"Hmm?" He hummed while preparing a frappuccino.

"Last week, during lunch break, when Sora kidnapped Felix for a so-called study session, had he....joined you guys later?"

"Oh that day? Nope."

Letting out a deep breath, I sighed. I internally scowled at myself for hoping for something else. He had said that he had just spotted me there. Lia must have meant something else when she was asking Felix if he had found me. Why do I always get ahead of mys-

"Because when he came back he noticed you weren't there and when we told him you left a few minutes ago, he sprinted off to find you." Jeongin shrugged his shoulders while a smile played on his lips.

I wished I could throw myself too in the machine so that I could escape feeling the backflips my heart was pulling off.

And alarms went off in my ears due to the happiness that engulfed me after hearing that.

It's a code red situation for my heart.
