Chapter 23

I dragged my luggage out the door after looking at myself for the last time in the mirror. My mid-length brown hair flowing as it stopped just above my elbows, and I wore the pink woolen sweater with light blue jeans.

"Do I look okay?" Jisung asked as he dragged his suitcase before keeping it beside mine.

"You look good!" I smiled as he stood in boots and black jeans that were ripped a little on the knees topped with a black coat and a shirt underneath.

He flipped his hair. "Thank you but I am not interested in you."

I rolled my eyes. "Watch me never compliment you again."

He snickered as we got to the ground floor before walking out of the building.

"Are we forgetting anything?" I asked as I went through a check of the list in my mind.

"Yes you did." A voice called out from behind as we turned to see Felix and Minho rush towards us with their suitcases.

"We were supposed to leave together!" Minho whined before checking out Jisung from head to toe.

"W-wow." He breathed out. Jisung stood there nervously, one of his legs pointing out as his ears were crimsoning under his gaze.

Can you both date already.

"You look pretty."

Turning towards him, my eyes met his as he smiled down at me, the sight of the tiny creases near his eyes over the freckles when he smiled was something that never failed to warm my heart. I glimpsed at his attire before looking away.

"Thank you and... you look good too."

"You BOTH are so oblivious, it hurts my eyes." Minho shook his head dramatically.

I faked a laugh, a blush threatening to creep in. "HAHA I don't know what you're talking about but anyways, let's go, we might get late." I started walking with quick steps.

I am sure I looked like a chick speed walking when it tries to catch up with their mama chicken.

I pushed my suitcase into the overhead bin before helping Lia with hers. I turned to take a seat when a very bright smile stopped me.

"Noona! How have you been? It's been so long since I last saw you you." He frowned.

"Hey, Jungwon!" I smiled at him. "I have been good. And haha it hasn't been that long." I unconsciously looked to the side as I tried to think how long it had been since summer break had started.

"A month, per.."

I trailed off when my eyes fell on Felix, who stared at us with a blank face.

"haps."

"It's still a long time for me." Jungwon grinned.

I let out an awkward chuckle before questioning. "By the way, I didn't see you around in school the last two weeks. Is everything okay?"

"Oh, I had to go to my hometown for some family work." Jungwon answered.

"Ohh." I nodded in understanding.

He smirked. "Did you miss me?"

Another round of awkward laughter.

"You wish I did."

3rd person POV

Felix poked Jisung in the arm as the latter chatted with the others.

"Do you know who he is?"

Jisung turned his head towards the mentioned 'he', along with the others as they all sat close to each other inside the bus.
"Oh, that's Jungwon, our classmate. " Jeongin said while looking at the boy smiling at Yuri.

"He confessed to her last year, and she had rejected him." Lia said, before adding, "But he still keeps trying and that's quite sweet of him but I feel bad for him because Yuri genuinely doesn't-" Lia jumped a little as Jisung quickly nudged into her side, and she immediately got the message.

"-d-doesn't know anymore if she likes him or not but I t-think Jungwon still has a chance!" Lia squeaked out, internally patting herself a good job while Jisung shot her a approving smirk without Felix noticing.

"What?!" Felix widened his eyes at the last part. "Are you saying she likes him?" Felix squeaked out, pure betrayal sketched all over his face. Minho turned his face towards the window while trying his best to hide his face from Felix as he tried to hold back his laughter after seeing his reaction.

"I mean, I am not sure but you never know what can happen, you know what I mean?" Lia chuckled nervously, as she tried to not dishearten Felix too much.

Felix poked his tongue against his cheek, and Seungmin patted his shoulder, whispering 'life goes on' as he himself was trying to bite back a smile.

"I like her." Felix huffed.

"OWH." Minho teased, smirking, while the others instantly broke out in a fit of laughter, enjoying the situation too much.

"Fawking finally!" Jisung cried.

"I know right, seeing none of these two admit was literally pain in every way possible." Jeongin faked wiping tears off his eyes dramatically, and it was confusing whether he was wiping tears of happiness or tears of pain.

Surprise took over Felix's features, his eyebrows shooting up. "You guys knew?"

"Even my dog would know." Lia sighed while looking at her nails.

Felix turned towards Yuri and Jungwon, the foreign feeling of jealousy waking up in his gut while seeing Yuri chuckle at something Jungwon said.

"Who is she going to sit with?" Felix questioned, not taking his eyes off the two.

Lia raised her hand. Felix looked at her, his eyes begging, and Lia burst out laughing.

"Okay fine! But nuh-uh, this ain't free because it's my best friend you're stealing here." Lia simpered.

Felix raised an eyebrow.

"Mint-choco."

Felix snorted.

"Done."

Felix wasted no time in getting up his seat and walking towards Yuri.

"Wow, I should have asked for a million dollars or something." Lia joked, smiling when seeing Felix grab Yuri's wrist as soon as he approached them. Yuri was thrown off-guard, turning her head towards Felix who grinned in return, before looking at Jungwon, smile dropping a little.

"Hey Jungwon! Heard alot about you from my friends over there." He pointed towards the crackheads in the back. "It was nice meeting you! However, it's time I steal Yuri because the bus is going to come to life any time now and we," He swung his hands around Yuri's shoulders, bringing her closer and Jungwon didn't fail to notice it.

Felix made sure he didn't.

"are sitting together." He finished with a smug smile.

And Yuri's jaw dropped to the floor.
