Chapter 12

“Since Felix lives in the west too, we three can go home together, what do you say?”

“As long as you tag along too, I don’t have any problem with it Jisung.”

Jisung chuckled, before getting back inside his classroom to ask Felix to join us. Currently Jeongin, Lia and I were near Jisung’s classroom as we waited for Jisung and Seungmin to leave school together like we always do.

Right after Jisung went back in, Seungmin exited before waiting for Jisung and Felix with us, standing beside me.

“I like him. He seems like a sweet, warm guy.”

Heat rushed up to my cheeks. “Yah, why do you sound like a dad approving her daughter’s relationship?”

Seungmin laughed, shaking his head. “Good vibes, that’s it.”

Jisung and Felix walked out of their class, his blue bag hanging loosely on his left shoulder, stopping when they approached us.

Felix stared at me for a moment, not saying a word. I broke the eye contact almost instantly, looking away as I coughed awkwardly.

“Haha, what are we waiting for?” And I started walking, as they did too.

We both were oblivious to the secretive knowing glances the others were exchanging as they grinned at us both.

“Felix, you’re always welcome in our group. I hope you know that.”

I smiled at Jisung’s efforts to make him feel welcome. The thought of having Felix as a new part of the group sounded nice to be honest. Everyone liked him and Felix seemed to like the time he spent with us.

And my smile turned into a glower when Jisung nudged me with his elbow with an evil grin.

“Thank you, that really means a lot. I was kinda worried about making friends in a new school.”

I turned to look at him staring into the distance with his eyes that glowed as the sunlight reflected off his orbs.

“Well, you don’t have to worry about it now.”

He turned to face me after those words left my mouth, a soft smile drawn on his face.

Heat surged through me and I looked away.

Maybe I should just keep quiet.

Felix shifted his gaze too after I did as he changed the topic. “Oh by the way, thank you for the link! My friend really liked an apartment in the building you live in and he’s planning to move in by this week.”

“Oh, that’s great. I am glad I was able to help.”

“Hey! Even Jeongin is moving into Seungmin’s this week. Since Jeongin had been searching for apartments Seungmin persuaded him to live with him as he wants company also someone who will help him with the chores.” Jisung beamed before Felix laughed, joking “It’s moving season.”

And I stood there, confused.

“Yah, how come you know about Jeongin’s moving and not me? I am the one who spends more time with him?” Jisung broke out in a sinister smile at that.

“Yuri, you’re the one who is having boy issues lately, not me.” My cheeks heated up in embarrassment as the ‘boy’ was literally walking beside us. I punched the squirrel’s arm while Felix seemed taken aback.

“Oh, you have a boyfriend?” His voice suddenly dropped.

My eyes widened in horror and Jisung burst out laughing.

“NO”

“YES”

We both were plainly creeping him out as I shot a death glare towards Jisung who was staring back at me with a cheeky grin.

Felix’s stare bounced between the squirrel and me before coughing awkwardly. “Anyways, I think we have to part ways from here.”

We halted in our tracks as we realized we were indeed at the block we were supposed to go opposite ways from.

“Well see you tomorrow Feeelix!” Jisung cooed, waving him goodbye as he walked away doing the same. I sent a small wave towards him as he shot me a brief smile before walking away.

“Don’t tell me you didn’t notice that.”

I furrowed my eyebrows as Jisung and I started walking the other way.

“That what?”

Jisung shook his head, dramatic disappointment sketched over his face. “Didn’t you notice the difference in his whole….aura after the boyfriend question?”

Ah. The boyfriend question.

“YAH, WHY DID YOU SAY YES WHEN HE ASKED THAT? DO I LOOK LIKE I HAVE A BOYFRIEND?” I ran after him as he fled after seeing my volcanic eruption.

“I just wanted to test his reaction to the thought of you having a boyfriend and the result was PERFECT!”
