Chapter 19

“You guys are leaving after having breakfast. No further discussion.” I glared at the three and they dropped their bags.

Jeongin chuckled as he neared the counter with the two. “I already feel bad for the man Yuri’s going to end up with in the future.”

"Let’s pray someone actually will want to date this aggressive human." Jisung snickered as he helped Lia in folding the blankets that were sprawled across the floor.

I raised the spatula towards him with a straight face. “Do you have a death wish?”

He zipped his mouth shut, a cheeky smile still stretched across his face.

Lia piped in. “Hey, have you guys heard anything about a trip our school is planning?”

Jisung looked up while flipping the eggs he was cooking. “Really? I hope they don’t take us to a damn forest like the last two times.”

Seungmin snickered. “Yeah me too because my ears can’t bear your screams again.”

Jisung exclaimed, clearly offended. “Yah! You never know when wolves and snakes might pop out of nowhere because we were literally in the middle of a eerie forest!”

“Sure! It makes sense that our school took us to a forest where there are wild creatures so that they could take the responsibility of their students getting eaten alive!”

“Food is here, eat up kids.” I cut in before they could cat fight any longer, and as expected, the quarrel disappeared into thin air as soon as food came into view.

“Wait, he is joining MY CLASS?” Jisung shrieked and Lia snickered at his reaction. “Of course he will join the same class as his best friend. What did you expect?”

Pushing my belongings into my locker, I slammed it shut before walking with the them to their class since first period was physics.
Jisung hugged his books against his chest. “I will admit it. He makes me feel nervous. I don’t know how to face him.”

I cooed. “Aw, being honest huh?”

He scoffed. “Unlike you.” My smile turned into a glare as I lightly hit him with one of the books I was holding meanwhile Jeongin smirked, shaking his head.

Upon reaching the class, we entered before my eyes fell on Felix.

And Sora.

She was sitting a little too close to him as she giggled while explaining something to him.

My face fell at that and I quickly walked towards our tables in the back before dropping myself on the chair. I didn’t want him to see me being affected for stupid reasons.

Reasons even I wasn’t quite sure about.

Or maybe I was and I am just trying to deny it till it fades off.

Fake it till you make it.

“Hey Yuri.” Seungmin called out from the row beside me.

I didn’t even notice he was sitting there.

“Hey Minnie. I guess you come with Jeongin now since you started living together?”

He nodded. “Yeah, since he is in a different class with you it’s a little unnoticeable.”

I am sure he understood why I was making such lame conversation. I already knew they come together.

I just wanted to somehow distract myself from being bothered.

“Good morning class!” The teacher made us known of her presence as we greeted her back.

“We have a new student joining us from today! I hope you all help him and make him feel welcome. He will be joining us shortly.”

A few moments later, there was a knock before he was allowed to come in as he walked in.

Gracefully.

And everyone’s jaw dropped.

Understandable. I had the same reaction.

I looked at Jisung who stared at Minho as his skin transformed into a light shade of red.

“Hello, I am Lee Minho. Nice to meet you all.”

And everyone lost it at his beautiful voice.

Made me wonder how everyone must have reacted when they heard Felix introducing himself with his voice that were lower than my grades.

Just kidding.

“Prepare yourselves well. It’s going to be cold up there. Further details are in the school’s notice board. Class dismissed.”

“Waah, I guess they got tired of the forests. That’s a relief!” Jisung breathed out.

“A camping trip actually sounds fun!” Jeongin cheered.

“I am willing to even go to hell if you guys tag along, so fine by me.” I laid my head on the table facing down as I closed my eyes.

I didn’t have good sleep.

Lia chuckled. “I am not sure how to feel about that but I love you too.”

I smiled at that before hearing footsteps coming closer as they reached us.

“Are you alright?” Felix’s voice met my ears.

I stiffened up as I kept silent.

I decided to pretend I fell asleep.

It would be believable since I was quite sleepy.

“I think she fell into a mini slumber.” Minho chuckled.

Lia shook me lightly. “Yuri we have class. We gotta leave.”

I lifted my head up slowly as I opened my eyes.

Felix’s round eyes staring into my soul was the first thing that came into view.

I immediately backed away as all the sleepiness in my eyes yeeted out of my body. He was sitting in the seat in front of mine and buried his head into his arms that were resting on the chair as he sat backwards, facing me. He had his lips puckered out and it reminded me of the yellow chick in looney tunes.

I ignored the urge to squish his face right then and there because of how adorable he looked.

His lips stretched out into a wide smile as he waved at me with his left arm.

I could see stars glistening in his eyes.

I could feel my heart picking up its pace.

I couldn’t make time stop at that moment and I wished I could.

Everything happened in one glimpse.

Breaking through the daze I caught myself in, I shot him a brief smile before standing up to leave. I let out a chuckle seeing Minho looking into Jisung’s eyes as he spoke with him, and Jisung laughing at his jokes as he looked away.

They are so adorable.
