She and Liz-Marie were mine. Mine! No-one could take them away from me. Especially not Elyza. Elyza was a flower. A thing of pure beauty and I would protect her from the world. I didn't necessarily want to keep her under lock and key, but she would stay mine.

Elyza

I stared at Erik curiously, fearfully. His eyes were dark, dangerous, angry. I suddenly found myself worrying about my safety. Liz-Marie's safety. I did not want to ruin our outing, but I needed to leave. "E-Erik, I am sorry. Please take me home. I feel nauseated." As he stared into my eyes, they flooded with worry, his anger alleviating. "Alright, then. That is fine." He rose and walked over to my side of the table and extended a bony hand. I hesitantly slid my hand onto his and he helped me up. Erik's grasp suddenly tightened, almost painfully, and he dragged me from the dimly lit restaurant.

So, this chapter was bad, but I'm writing the next one as you read this, so it'll be better.
