During my free period, I was wandering around the school because I had nothing to do... I really anticipated talking to Mr. Destler. I wanted to discuss my grade, but... I kind of just wanted to see him... I knew he wasn't doing anything at the moment either because, every second period is a free-period for the whole school. Basically, just to allow everyone to prepare themselves for the rest of the day. I allowed myself to wander down the art corridor, to my art classroom. I peeked through the glass and saw him painting on a canvas, his back to me. I assumed it was for the class after this and I did not wonder about it, but I did want to come in. However, I did not want to disturb him. So, I grabbed the door's handle, twisted it all the way round before pulling the door open. Thankfully, it was silent. I tip-toed inside, the only sound to be heard was that of the paintbrush dipping in the paint, dripping onto the canvas, and the brush against that. I knew he was holding his breath. Erik Destler was very passionate about his art. Click! The door shut itself loudly as I walked away from it. I felt myself freeze as he stopped painting. "Elyza.... I did not give you permission to come and see me..", he spoke at the canvas, still not facing me. I gasped. "H-How did you kn-know?" He scoffed and finally turned to me, his smock was covered in acrylic orangy-red paint, he smiled. "I didn't know, however, I observed. You were the only person to ask to see me on a free-period and suddenly, a person tries to sneak in here, knowing I'd be alone, during their free-period." Mr. Destler seemed smug. I expected him to be at least a little upset, but... he wasn't. "Now.. how may I help you?" I gulped. Okay. Here goes nothing.
