Over the next few days, Touya's texts were a little odd. Most of them were short and he kept directing the conversation back to you if you asked what he was doing or what his day consisted of. He hadn't tried to see you again either. It was starting to worry you.

It was a nice day and you'd planned a run in the park with Hydra-Girl. You were on your fourth lap around the park. Headphones were plugging your ears and flooding your head with your favorite music for your workouts. The text tone went off in your ear and you grabbed your phone to check the text.

Dabi: Those pants make your ass look great.

You stop running as chills run up your spine. You begin looking around the park for him. A second chime in your ears. You look at the screen.

Dabi: Not that you need any help in that department...

You tried to stifle the giggle his message provoked from you.

"Hey!" Hydra-Girl caught up with you and started jogging in place. "Water break?"

You nod and turn your attention to her but keep glancing around for Touya. Where is he?!

The two of you go sit at a picnic table not far off the running track and take casual sips of water. She starts to do small stretches on the benches. You glance around again while taking sips from your water bottle.

"Waiting for someone?" Her voice surprises you.

"Huh," you snap your attention to her again. "Oh, um, I was just taking everything in. They've made some changes to the track since I last came for a run here."

She raised a brow at you and leaned over backwards to stretch her back. "Really? I hadn't noticed," she shrugged. "Guess that's why you're higher ranked in the agency than me. You're always so attentive, Y/N." She laughed and you gave a half-hearted smile and laugh in response.

"Yeah...hey uh, Mira, I think I'm going to go meet up with my sister for brunch or something," you said, hoping your voice didn't shake with the lie. You tucked your headphones around your neck and started walking in the direction of your car. "Catch up with you at work tomorrow?"

She nodded and waved goodbye to you as she trotted off to the track again. "Yeah, see ya! I'm gonna take a few more laps!"

As soon as she was off and distracted with her run again, you punched the call button on your phone screen and brought it to your ear. It only rang once before he answered.

"Am I distracting you, little light?" His voice purred into the phone and it made you shiver.

You clear your throat before answering. "Distracted? Nah. Concerned you're exposing yourself? Yes."

A low chuckle answered you. "I'm fine. Where ya going?"

You rounded the corner of the track and began walking towards your car. You walked around a tree and came into view of your parked vehicle. Your feet stop moving and you stare ahead.

"Or maybe I should say we," he purred into the phone again.

"Touya," you said in a hushed whisper and hung up. You sprint to the car.

He's standing at your hood, leaned up against it. His arms are crossed and he's wearing a hoodie that's pulled up over his head with the front zipped high, covering his mouth. When you approach him, he unzips it a little to reveal the smug expression he's giving you.

"What are you-"

Dabi cuts you off by pulling you into him and kissing you hard. Your eyes flutter and you melt into the kiss. He nips lightly at your bottom lip before pulling away and smiling at you.
