Chapter Eleven

Dabi kisses you goodbye as you climb into your car to leave that afternoon. He watches you drive out of the parking lot and the corners of his lips turn up. Your sleepy words are echoing in his mind. He hadn't said anything and you didn't bring it up when you woke up, so he surmised you didn't even remember...or you were too embarrassed to bring it up. He snickered and started walking down the sidewalk.

It was only a short walk back to the league's current hideout. He tugged his hood over his head and pulled a face mask over his nose to hide his features from any wandering eyes. His eyes carefully scanned the streets as he strolled through them. This part of town was usually pretty empty with not many people around.

About ten minutes pass and his phone dings as he turns into an alley. He pulls it from his jeans and chuckles at the screen. You sent him a smiling selfie showing off your neck. It's smooth and clean with no evidence of all the love bites he marked you with. The text captions: Hickey covering skills have improved!

Dabi: Just wait until I start putting them in other places.

He tucks the device back into his pocket and cuts around another corner. He walks up to a large building tucked among some abandoned warehouses and rundown shops that have busted windows and dusty displays.

When he slips into the door around the back, he sees Toga and Twice sitting at a small table playing some sort of card game. She's pouting and whining about him not playing by the rules. Twice cackles and starts arguing with himself as per usual. Dabi rolls his eyes and slips past them headed to his room in the hideout.

"Where have you been slipping off to lately? Lots of late night solo adventures," a raspy voice beckons from behind him.

He turns and sees Shigaraki leaned against the wall. He sneers at him. "I didn't realize I had to give you a play by play of my life."

He chuckles and walks towards Touya, a toothy grin spreading across his face. He leans in close and takes a quick whiff of his jacket before pulling back and tilting his head. "Well she smells nice whoever she is."

Dabi sighs and turns away from him. "Shut it, crusty. A man has needs. You know how it is, right?" He grins at him over his shoulder and Shigaraki glares at him before huffing and turning to walk off.

He slips out of his clothes and takes a quick shower before returning to the kitchen to look for something to eat. He nods at an unmasked Compress who's sipping tea from a porcelain cup and reading something that looks like Shakespeare. Toga skips in with Hawks following behind her. She's giggling and he's smiling as he raises a brow at Dabi.

"What?" He grumbles.

"Shiggy said you've got a new girlfriend!" She's bouncing on her feet like a giddy schoolgirl. "Who is it? Is she pretty?" She inhales sharply and her eyes widen. "Are you gonna get her to join us?! It would be so much fun to have another girl around!"

Touya groans and wipes a hand down his face. Hawks chuckles and leans into the counter. He skewers the hero with his blue eyes trying to convey the message to keep his damn mouth shut. He glances around and lifts a hand defensively while offering a quick grin. Toga is still bouncing around waiting for answers and babbling on about all the fun girl time she can't wait to have.

"Toga," he snaps. "Cut it out."

She pouts and sticks out her tongue at him before letting out a dramatic whine. "Why don't I ever get to have any fun around here?!"

Hawks laughs and pats her on the shoulder once. "Oh come on, kid. I'm sure you'll find something to occupy your time." He smirks at Dabi. "But maybe if you ask him nicely he'll bring her around."
