((Please keep in mind what I said about warnings, but here's one anyway. You chose to keep reading!! 🙃))

As you landed on the roof of your childhood home, you sighed. Memories of your younger years flooded your mind as you looked down upon the koi pond you'd cast fish food into with Touya, Fuyumi, Natsuo, and your own sister. The barren yard you'd played in so many times with your friends was quiet in the night. A soft glow of light from a second-story window in the Todoroki mansion drew your attention and snapped you out of your daydream state.

You moved around on the roof to adjust your view of the inside of the house. Enji placed a briefcase onto the floor next to his armoire and walked further into the bedroom. He turned and entered the attached bathroom, flipping the light switch on. A few moments later he exited and turned off the bathroom light behind him. He was now wearing a basic t-shirt and dark sweatpants.

Endeavor moved about the room and stopped, staring off into a corner of the room. His shoulders heaved with a deep and heavy sigh before he dragged his feet over to the corner. You didn't have a good view of what he was looking at, so you adjusted on the roof a second time. When you saw him kneeling on the ground before a lit altar, your eyes widened.

Upon the altar were many lit tealight candles and a burning incense stick. At the center of all the flames and light, gray smoke was a photo of Touya as a young boy. You closed your eyes from the pain and clutched your body tightly to try and comfort yourself. More memories flooded your head of the days you two spent as children. The way he made you feel when he had grinned at you had only intensified in your time together over the last year.

You shake your head and pinch the bridge of your nose. There's no point in letting things get to you now. You came here to do a job and that's exactly what you plan to do. All the good times with Touya were precious memories. You would never be able to make new memories with him. Keigo may have been the one who pierced his heart, but his father had destroyed him long before his death. Enji had a price to pay as well, a debt that you fully intended to collect.

You stayed perched on the roof as he finished getting himself ready for bed. The lights went out and you waited, watching your prey sleep in his bed. The peaceful look that settled over his face as he drifted off to sleep made you angry again. How dare he sleep undisturbed as though he's done nothing wrong.

Once you were sure that he was sound asleep, you leaped from the roof and clung to the shadows of the night as you approached his front door. The spare key was still hiding in the same place under the potted succulent tucked within the other plants. You smirked to yourself and were again amused and thankful for Enji's arrogance. The key turned in the lock and you slipped inside the dark unlit home.

There was virtually no sound from your footsteps as you strode down the hallway to his bedroom. When you approached his door, you turned the knob slowly and slid inside through the small crack of space. He was snoring in his massive bed, unaware of what was coming for him. You began to wonder just how arrogant he had to be that he had no security measures in place to protect his family in their own home. You had been able to infiltrate the house so easily. If you hadn't been watching and known any better yourself after years spent around the family, you'd think he was setting you up.

You tried to keep your breathing sallow and controlled as you stepped closer to the bed. Your heartbeat was pounding in your ears you were so full of nerves and anxiety. The number one pro's chest rose and fell in his labored breaths as he slept. You looked upon him and clenched your jaw. There was a streetlight glowing just on the other side of the Todoroki's fenced yard. You focused the energy of your quirk and drew the light to you.

A sharp, glowing knife of light formed in your hand as you worked your quirk. You looked down the street in the opposite direction and pulled more light from another streetlight. This light formed into shackles that you fastened around his wrists to bind them together. You also shackled his legs down to the bed so that he would not be able to move even if he did stir from his sleep.

You grinned slowly, a satisfied expression settling over your features. Seeing such a strong and influential man that you had grown to hate with a deep, burning intensity filled you with joy. Suddenly, the thought of killing this man wasn't repulsive...you felt justified.

There was a part of you that wanted to savor his murder and make it slow. You wanted to tell him every memory you had of him yelling at Touya when you were children. You wanted to tell him that if he had just been a good father to his children that could have prevented so many terrible things. You wanted to watch the light slowly go out from his eyes as you dug the knife into his heart. You wanted to feel the last breath leave his lungs as you plunged the blade in deeper.

You imagined the headlines you would see in the news tomorrow. Would they blame you for his death? Did you want the world to know that you had murdered him? What kind of sign would you leave for the cops that would investigate his murder once his body was discovered?

Oh, you hadn't thought about that part...

Who would be the one to find his dead and lifeless body? None of the Todoroki children lived in the home with him anymore...but things were in a state of disarray. UA might have sent their students home during this difficult time. Natsuo's college was near the scene of chaos that had erupted during Touya's grand reveal and Shigaraki's attack. Fuyumi was always there for the support of her family, even her terrible father. Which one of them would open the door and find their father lying dead in his bed. He would surely be discovered quickly. The country wouldn't go long without its number one hero in action. It would only take a day or two off the job with absolutely no responses or contact to figure out that something was wrong.

You shut your eyes tightly, trying to fight off the thoughts. You couldn't let any kind of guilt sink into your mind. This was something that needed to be done. He deserved his fate. The world would be a better place without him. His children and his wife Rei would be better off without him around. He was no good for them...he had destroyed all of their lives in one way or another. It was only right that his own life be ended completely.

You nodded to yourself and positioned the knife above his still body. The blade hovered over his chest, perfectly lined up with his heart. You pulled more light from the moon shining in through the windows and elongated the blade of the knife. With a deep breath of confidence, you plunged the blade deep into his chest. The sickening sound of bones cracking and the wet sound of the blade digging into his flesh made your stomach flip.

His body jolted up but the restraints kept him fastened to the bed. A shriek and groan left his lips. You moved a hand from the knife hilt and quickly gagged him with a piece of the bedsheets. His turquoise eyes found yours and they flashed through confusion, pain, anger, and then understanding. Tears flowed down your face as you panted heavy breaths. He blinked and groaned around the material of the sheets. His breaths were sharp and broken.

"You deserve this. I want you to know that. I want you to remember that as you die," you sob.

His eyes close and then stare up at the ceiling. He gives a slight nod and lays there on the bed still, almost as if he's accepted his death. You shake your head in disbelief and blink in confusion.

"I-I don't understand... Why aren't you fighting this?" You snap. Anger has returned and you feel it bubbling up in your chest. You twist the blade in his chest, causing another sickening, wet sound as it slices through his core.

Enji groans again, squeezing his eyes shut from the pain, but still, he doesn't fight against you. Your face heats and you clench your jaw. "You piece of shit! He's dead because of you! This is all your fault!" Your voice is thick with your rage.

The light switches on and you hear a sharp inhale behind you. Enji glances at the door and his eyes widen. Your head whips in the direction of the door and you freeze. You stare into the puffy gray eyes of your best friend and then notice her younger brother step into the room behind her.
