CW: Mentions of blood and anxiety

Two more weeks had gone by and aside from the occasional text, you hadn't heard much from Touya. He wouldn't tell you where he was or what he was doing, but the league had not been in the news in the time he was gone. You could only assume that they were somewhere laying low and out of sight from the public, and especially heroes.

You sat back in your office chair at the agency, staring at the email open on your computer screen. The hero bulletin was tomorrow morning. Endeavor was officially being named the number one hero. To everyone's surprise, he had stopped grumbling about it after Natsuo's outburst at dinner.

A soft knock came at your door, causing you to look up. "Come in!"

The door opened and Hydragirl's head popped in through the crack. You smiled at her and sat forward in your chair.

"Hey, Beacon! I was wondering if you wanted to go on patrol together today?"

"Sure, I'd like that," you responded and smiled at her.

She nodded. You grabbed your phone from your desk and slipped it into a holster attached to the belt of your hero costume. The two of you rode the elevator down and walked down the sidewalk of the busy city streets. She made small talk with you as the two of you strode down the busy sidewalks. No matter how present you tried to be in the conversation, your mind was elsewhere.

"Y/N," your coworker said softly from across the table.

You turned to look at her and grinned. "Yeah? What is it, Misa?"

She smiled at you a little sheepishly and picked at her nails. Her bright green eyes flashed up at you, filled with concern. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine," you sigh, knowing the honest answer to that question was much more difficult than you could give her right now. "Why do you ask?"

"You just seem like you're a little anxious or upset or something. If it's about the bulletin tomorrow, don't be," she shrugged. "They never call much attention to anyone under the tenth rank. We'll mostly be sitting in the stands in moral support for the boss and all the other top ten heroes."

"Right," you nodded.

The two of you continued to walk around on patrol. Occasionally citizens would wave to you and say hello. Hydragirl would giggle and give an excited greeting to anyone who called out her name specifically.  As you continued to walk, you began to feel a little off. You tried to shake the feeling and focus on work. You kept telling yourself it was just because you were missing Touya and that had you in a little bit of a funk.

As you were rounding the corner of another block, you noticed a foreign and sticky uncomfortable feeling. You stopped walking and the color drained from your face slightly.

"Beacon?" Hydragirl stopped a few paces ahead of you when she noticed you were no longer walking beside her.

You glanced around and saw a convenience store ahead of you. "Sorry, I need to make a restroom stop," you rubbed at the back of your neck and began walking to the store.

You walked inside and headed for the restroom. When you closed the stall door behind you, you drew in a deep breath and squeezed your eyes shut. Slowly you unzipped your hero costume and pulled it off your body to reveal the lower half of your body. You knew what you were going to find before you ever opened your eyes. The blood that had pooled in your underwear was beginning to coat the insides of your thighs. It had stained the white fabric of your hero costume just a little on the inside but luckily wasn't visible on the outside.
