That night you were a nervous wreck. Fuyumi had gone to sleep early, leaving you to suffer through your nerves alone. Not that you could tell her what was bothering you, but hanging out with your best friend would definitely have been a welcome distraction for the situation. You were consistently checking your phone scrolling through every news bulletin, online news websites, and your own emails for any updates or announcements about the raid and the outcome.

The hero commission had decided to keep the raid out of the public eye, so there was no coverage about it prior to it occurring. They wanted to use the element of surprise to attack the league and rescue the kidnapped student. Little did they know you had sent out a warning to them. The league would be expecting it. You hoped more than anything you had given them enough time to prepare and escape the hideout to evade capture or getting hurt in the process of the raid.

You were trying to stay calm, but having no information or updates on the situation was anxiety-inducing. You checked through your email and the news one more time before placing your phone face down on your nightstand. You cupped your face in your hands and let out a shaky sigh. Your eyes squeezed shut and you tried to steady your breathing.

"It's fine. Everything is fine. They're all going to be ok," you mumbled to yourself.

Once you had taken a few deep breaths, you grabbed your phone and slid it into your pocket. You walked into the kitchen and fixed yourself a cup of hot tea to soothe your nerves. Hopefully, it would help you to get some much needed sleep. You grabbed the cup off the counter and took a slow sip, letting its warmth spread through your belly, offering you some comfort.

You started walking back to your bedroom when a knock at the door stopped you in your tracks. Your head swiveled in the direction of the door and you titled your head, blinking in confusion. It was late...who would be at the door at this time? You pulled your phone from your pocket and checked for a text or call alerting you to a visitor, but you had zero notifications.

A second and more assertive knock made you jump as your head snapped back to the door. You set your cup of tea down on the counter and walked over. You pressed your ear to the door and listened for anything on the other side...nothing.

"Wh-who is it?"

"Y/N," a familiar raspy voice called. "Open the damn door, please!"

Your eyes widened in shock. You peeped through the door and gasped when you saw him. You yanked the door open, eyes glossy with tears at the sight of him. Touya was hunched over, gripping his side. Blood soaked through his white shirt and wet his fingers with the sticky red liquid. You rushed him inside, looking around to see if anyone was out and had seen him coming inside. The door closed behind you and you turned your attention to your bleeding boyfriend.

He leaned into you as you helped him through your apartment, walking him to your bedroom. He winced as you helped him sit down on the side of your bed. Your eyes searched his body frantically, looking for any other wounds he may have. He was breathing a little heavy, his forehead beaded with sweat. Some of his messy black hair was stuck to his face.

"What happened?!"

He grinned a little and looked down at his side. "Ah what, this? It's nothing, doll. I'm all right," he smirked.

You opened your mouth to argue with him when you heard footsteps coming down the hallway. You whipped around and rushed to the door, closing it behind you as you walk out into the hall to greet your roommate.

"Y/N?" Fuyumi yawned around the name. "Is everything ok? I heard knocking," she says sleepily.

Your heart feels like it's going to beat right out of your chest. "Oh hey, sorry. Um, we didn't mean to wake you up. Everything's fine though."
