"Jase, I think she's pregnant. " I tell him and he quiets down. I put my hands in my pockets.
"What do you mean? " he asks now with anger leaving him.
"She's been getting sick the past couple days. She hasn't been on birth control since she got hurt. None of us used condoms when we were with her last month. Im not saying I'm the father. I haven't been with her since. She's been confused and scared this past month. But it does make the most sense for me to stand up. If its Chase or Alex, she will be looked at wrong. If its you, well your not going to have the time. We already live together. I don't have many commitments besides school. I already take care of her. I love her and I'm not taking her away from you. We can continue with what ever relationship that we are in. But I want the baby protected and I want her to feel safe. "
".....god.. I didn't even think about it. I will get our grandmothers ring. I want us to ask her together. Im not letting her go. Your right. I can't believe I'm saying your right. She's ours. I will call Chase after practice. Does she know she might be pregnant? "
"I don't think so. She thinks that she might be sick. That's why we're asking her tonight. I don't want her to doubt us or feel like she's trapping us."
"Good. What are you thinking? "
"Dinner on the beach. Im going to get Natalie to help me get everything. " I answer.
"What's going on with Blake?"
"Not sure. I will corner him later. It will be fine. I will call you when I get everything together. " I say to him. He nods and goes back to the locker room.
I walk back to the bleachers and sit next to Dani. She curls up into my side. I wrap my arm around her. This is going to work. I look down at her. It's most likely my baby. Im not going to say it out loud but I was with her a couple days before everyone. I don't know if a DNA test would tell the difference between Jase and I. We even have the same finger prints.
"Jase says that you better cheer loud for him." I tell her and she smiles up at me. She looks a little relieved. I realize she's been worried about him.
"I love you bella. "
"I love you too" she says smiling up at me.
