George's POV

It took a while, but finally my parents and siblings were at the top too. I stood with Clay at the railing and looked at my dad.

'Dad, can you take a photo of us?'

'Of course!' he said with a smile. He grabbed my phone and stood a bit further away.

I was pretty nervous since Clay was going to kiss my cheek and I was kissing his. If he wouldn't comment on it, I would maybe shortly kiss his lips for the picture. I found it easier to come out like that.

Clay wrapped his arm around my shoulder and looked at me. 'Are you sure?' he whispered so my dad wouldn't hear.

I nodded. 'I'm sure,' I muttered.

Clay smiled and we looked at the camera, waiting for my dad to take a picture. Once he made one, Clay kissed my cheek. I kissed his after and then took a deep breath. My dad was just peacefully waiting for us and I turned my head to Clay. Clay did the same and smiled as he looked me into my eyes.

'It's alright, George. It's going to be okay. I don't think he will mind.'

I smiled back and Clay leaned in, tilting his head to kiss me. He pressed his lips on mine and we both closed our eyes. He was holding his hand on my cheek and I had my arms around him, waiting for the picture to be taken.

We heard the click sound of the picture and broke apart to see my dad with a big smile on his face. He didn't say anything and gave me my phone back to see more of the view.

Clay smiled at me and we walked back to the middle so I wouldn't be close to seeing the height. We sat down next to each other. 'He didn't mind at all,' Clay muttered as he kissed my cheek.

'I'm glad, I think I came out now, right?'

'You basically did, just without words.'

'Were you comfortable enough with that?' I asked just to make sure.

'I was, I didn't mind at all. I'm only a little bit scared to come out to my mother,' Clay mumbled as he looked at his hands.

'Why's that?' I asked.

'Because she's already so stressed and I don't want to put even more stress on her. What if she doesn't like it and then gets upset? Maybe gets so stressed that she can't work anymore and then we don't have anything. Then I lose my house and I'll starve to death eventually.'

'Clay, stop. You're really overthinking this now. You're mum is an amazing woman and I'm sure she won't get so stressed that she even stops working. Even if that would ever happen, you can stay with me and I'll give you food and everything you need.'

Clay took a relieved breath and nodded slowly. 'Sorry, I just overthink things easily. I've always been scared to get evicted or to starve.'

'I'm also here, Clay. If anything bad happens, I'm here to back you up. I was here when we were best friends so I'm definitely here now you're my boyfriend.'

'Do you mind being in a relationship with a poor boy?'

'I don't see you as a "poor boy", I see you as my amazing and handsome boyfriend.'

'But I don't have any money so I can't give you anything. I have the two thousand you gave me, but then I would just buy things for you with your own money.'

'I don't mind, Clay. I'm not with you for money, I'm with you because I'm in love with you.'

'Would you be sad if I gave you a present which I bought from your money?'

'I would be really happy if you did that. I gave you my money so you can buy what you want and it means a lot that you want to buy something for me.'

We cuddled up together and Clay grabbed his phone, laying it down again after that.

'What did you want to do?'

'I wanted to call my mom to show her the view, but my camera is broken anyway.'

'Here, you can call her with my phone.'

Clay smiled and grabbed my phone, calling her number. I had his mother's number for if Clay's phone wouldn't work and Clay called her with video on. His mum accepted the call and smiled as she saw Clay on the screen.

'Clay! How are you, honey?'

'I'm okay, I'm on top of the Eiffel Tower and I wanted to show you the view,' he said with a big smile. 'George is here too.'

He showed me on the screen and went to show her the view for a bit. I just sat down as my dad sat next to me.

'Are you enjoying it so far? And with Clay here?'

'I am,' I said, feeling my face heat up slightly.

'Did you like the pictures I took?'

'Y-yes,' I muttered as I looked down at my hands.

'What's going on between you two?' he said with a teasing smile. He softly pushed me as he grinned.

I smiled and rolled my eyes. 'I'd rather tell you when I'm alone with you and mum. Well, and with Clay.'

'Okay, your siblings will go to sleep around nine, so if you and Clay come downstairs then, we can talk about it. Just know that I'll always love you,' he said. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me in for a hug.

I smiled as I hugged my dad back and he let go of me once Clay came back. Clay gave my phone back and greeted my dad as he sat down next to me.

'Did your mother like the view?' I asked with a soft smile on my face.

'She did.'

'How is she doing?' my dad asked.

Clay turned his eyes to the ground and sighed. 'She's tired and still doesn't have much. I hope it will be alright someday.'

I hugged Clay tightly. 'I promise you that it will be alright, I'm here. I'm always here for you.'
