-NoneGeorge's POV
We chilled for the rest of the day and later that evening we went out after dinner. We would be going to the woods to go for a long walk and I had asked Clay to stay close to me as he knew I was a bit scared. He promised me to stay close and that comforted me a lot.
When I was with Clay in one room, it seemed like he wanted to kiss me. I was really sad that it didn't happen and definitely hoped for it to happen again someday.
I was walking outside, crawled away in my coat as Clay walked next to me and Sapnap next to him. I was looking at the setting sun, it was getting a bit darker as we went into the woods. I didn't have the courage to show that I was pretty scared so I kept walking, getting startled by every sound around me.
I ended up staying a bit closer to Clay, he noticed me being scared and grabbed my hand as he held it tight to rub his thumb over the top of it. I smiled a little, he made me really comfortable. Comfortable enough to keep walking.
The walk through the cold woods continued, the sun had fully set now and it was dark outside. I had to make sure to look at the ground whilst walking so I wouldn't randomly trip over some random trunk.
When we had been walking for twenty minutes, I suddenly heard noises behind me. I turned around and felt my heart beating faster as I didn't see anything. Because I was this scared, I started squeezing Clay's hand to let him know that I was.
He rubbed his thumb over my hand again and smiled at me to comfort me. 'It's going to be okay,' he said with a smile.
I nodded slowly, but then got startled the most I had ever been in my entire life. Someone, I figured Sapnap, grabbed my shoulders and screamed loudly. He bursted into laughter after that, but noticed I was actually really scared.
I ended up sobbing softly as I clung onto Clay for comfort and he gave Sapnap a mad face. 'Dude, he was scared already. Think before you do something, idiot.'
'Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't know he was scared,' Sapnap muttered.
I was still crying softly and Clay sat down on the first trunk he saw to calm me down. He pulled me in for a tight hug and rubbed my back as he ran his other hand through my hair, looking back at Sapnap.
'I'm so sorry, George. I didn't know you were scared, we are almost back home if that helps. I won't scare you anymore, I didn't know. I'm sorry, can you forgive me?'
I nodded slowly and started breathing a bit calmer, but every sound around me scared me really badly. After I calmed down, we went home as quick as possible and I went to Clay's room to calm down even more. I was happy to be back inside and Clay and Sapnap came upstairs a bit later too to go to sleep.
The night passed by quickly since I fell asleep almost right away. The next morning we all stood up early to prepare for the cinema. Sapnap paid for the tickets and I would be paying for the food and drinks. Clay tried to argue about it, but we both insisted on it so he gave up fighting against it.
We left to the cinema when it was around ten am. Clay sat behind Sapnap on his bike since he still didn't have one himself. After we rode our bikes for around fifteen minutes, we arrived at the cinema.
We all showed our tickets and Clay was smiling a little because he hadn't been to the cinema for years. He was looking around as I ordered popcorn and soda for all of us. We got pointed the right way and walked upstairs to the room we had to be in.
Clay was constantly smiling and I sat down next to him in the corner seat of the row. Clay was closely next to me and Sapnap next to him as we looked at some random adds on the big screen in front of us.
'I'm so excited,' Clay said with the biggest smile I had seen in years. 'I haven't been here for years and for some reason I just really love it here.'
I smiled back. 'I'm glad that you're happy.'
We would be watching a romantic movie and since I kind of liked Clay, I really hoped to cuddle up with him during the movie. Maybe we could just hold hands, it didn't have to be much.
I got startled as the loud sounds of the beginning movie filled the room and looked at the screen to see the movie start. Before I knew I got completely lost in the movie and after a little, I rested my elbow on the armrest I shared with Clay.
Clay seemed to have the same plan as me and our arms touched each other's, making me shiver softly. Clay looked down at our arms, I did the same. Then a smile curled up on his face and his hand turned around, grabbing mine.
I didn't argue in the slightest and let our hands touch each other's as Clay intertwined our fingers together. My heart started beating a bit faster as I realised we were holding hands and he pulled my hand more towards his side of the armrest, causing me to get pulled closer to him.
We didn't lock eyes, we purposely avoided eye contact actually. I tried focusing on the movie again, but it was hard when I felt Clay's thumb rub the top of my hand. Sapnap looked to his side and then down to our hands, a big smile filled his face as he looked back at the movie.
I couldn't be happier than I was now, for some reason it felt magical to be holding Clay's hand.
