So, after a long and painful summer, we were back in hell.

The dull school stood as tall and boring as ever with arrogant teachers sticking their long noses in the air as if they owned the place and strutting down the corridors in competition with one another.

"I want to go home." Ally huffed miserably, re-adjusting the bag on her shoulder, "I hate this place so much."

I nodded in agreement, checking my timetable to see what lessons I had first. It was a new year which, for people at my school, meant new classes with new teachers. yay.

Allison and I walked to the cafeteria to find our friends, but when we arrived we realised how stupid we were acting because around our usual table sat: Mahogany, Lexi, Kathryn, Cameron and Nash. I stopped dead in my tracks and felt burning flames of envy begin to paint everything around me red as I saw that Nash was sitting was his arm slung over Mahoganys shoulder while she continued whispering into his ear.

"C'mon, lets go." Ally said, smashing through the coat of jealousy and dragging me from the eating area.

I don't know how she was acting so calm, I saw Cameron laughing with Kathryn about something and pushing her hair away from her face like he used to with Ally.

However, it didn't take me long until I looked up at her and realised she wasn't calm at all; Ally looked ready to burst out crying more liquid than the Pacific Ocean held whilst killing a few thousand pedestrians who happened to cross her path and she sobbed.

"Al, are you okay?" I asked her, linking my arm through hers as we walked.

She didn't answer right away, she just kept walking in silence until she finally let out a breath, "I don't know." She said truthfully, then she gave me a small smile and rushed away to her lesson. Leaving me to find my own way to P.E.

I loved this lesson, not because of the mandatory kit which included a grey skort, (Yes, I said skort. A hybrid skirt that are also shorts.) white t-shirt with the school logo and white trainers and not because of the teacher that got way to into the sports and would cheer everytime someone scored a point, I enjoyed it because I genuinly liked going out in the sun and playing some random game while listening to music with my headphones in.

Unfortunatley, today was not my lucky day; the class was made up of only fifteen girls and I knew about four of them. The unfortunate part was that the four I did know were Mahogany, Kathryn, Lexi and one of Mahogany's followers who was not-so-subtly glaring at me.

I thought Lexi was okay for a while during the summer holidays, she was being friendlier and dating Hayes, but the moment she found out me and Nash weren't together, she returned to her usual bitchy ways. So, yeah, I hate her now.

I changed quickly and sat on my own, trying - and failing - to untangle the knot in my earphones, when Miss Hymn walked in, looking like she'd drank one too many energy drinks this morning.

"Morning girls! I hope you had a lovely summer and played lots of sports outside in this gorgeous weather!" She said, offering each of us a cheesy, over-entusiastic grin. "Today we're gonna play volleyball, so everyone on this side is one team and opposites are the other."

Luckily, I didn't end up on team 'we hate Amelia' and began the game quite happily hitting the ball over the net.

That is until Kathryn thought it would be really funny to hit the ball right in my face. Like, she literally threw it at my face. Admittedly she was then sent to the head teacher, but that didn't stop her and her possee laughing hysterically at me, nor did it stop the gushing blood that was flowing freely from my nostrils.
