Shawn was nowhere to be found after I'd gotten of the Ferris Wheel. I prayed he hadn't seen the kiss.

I was rushing around the fair looking for him when I crashed into Cameron and Ally screaming at each other.

"You're such an asshole!" Ally screeched, picking up a stray twig from the ground and throwing it at him.

"You have the nerve to call me an asshole after what you did? You're a freaking hypocrite! We were dating when you made out with Sebastian, I'm not even dating Mahogany!" He yelled back, his face red with anger.

"I was drunk Cameron! Worse than I've ever been and even then I realised I was wrong and left!"

"Yeah, well, when I was drunk I declared how much I liked you, I didn't stick my tongue down someone else's throat!" Cam shouted, every word said with more venom than the last.

"No, you waited till after and then decided to swap saliva with every girl that breathes." Ally spat back.

I moved away from the pair, deciding it would be better not to be spotted spying on their argument. I turned around to continue my search and bumped into something hard.

Shawn.

"I'm sorry." I stuttered, failing to think of a wittier sentence.

"Don't worry about it." He replied robotically. I don't know if we were talking about bumping into him or the Ferris Wheel.

"I just-"

"Don't even go there, Millie." He told me, already retreating to the car park.

"Your leaving?" I asked, speed walking to keep up with him.

"Yes."

"Why?" I asked, still struggling forward next to him.

"Because I don't wanna stay."

I stopped trying to catch up. "What about our date?" I asked, resisting the urge to stick my bottom lip out.

He stopped ahead of me and looked over his shoulder at me, "you still want to?" He replied.

I took a moment to think. "Yes." I told him with a nod.

And I did, I wanted to give Shawn a chance. He could be the best thing that ever happened to me, I didn't want to waste the opportunity to find out because Nash was paying attention to me again.

"Yes." I said again. More for myself than him, but he appreciated it nonetheless and walked over to me in three long strides and squeezed my in a huge embrace.

"What should we do first?" He asked.

"You could always win me a giant teddy like in the movies?" I replied, pushing the memories of Nash from my head. I had to think only of now if I were going to give Shawn the real chance he deserved.

"I would love to m'lady." He told me in a surprisingly good British accent before taking my hand and leading the way.

Shawn spent most of the night trying to win me a giant teddy. He tried winning a game of darts, shooting, catch the duck, Apple bobbing and the wellie toss, but ended up with naught.

Eventually, he decided bean bag racing was the way to go and hopped around like a five year old among a group of little kids trying to win my prize.

This time, he did win, but I couldn't take the teddy because of the tears of laughter streaming down my face blurring my vision.

"I told you I'd win you one." He told me once the tears had subsided.

"I never doubted you." I replied with a grin, "can we go on the horror tractor ride through the woods?" I asked, bouncing on the balls of my feet with enthusiasm.
