"I really liked Lucas." Ally was telling me as we walked back along the streets to our apartment, "but something just seems different about him, I just can't pinpoint what exactly."

"Yeah, me too. There is definitely something." I replied.

"He'll probably tell us soon enough, maybe even tomorrow, we should invite him to America for a party or something!" Ally suggested, I could practically see her brain pumping as she thought about who, what, where and how.

"Slow down, he could be a total creep and we just don't know it yet." I reminded her, crossing the road.

"That's unlikely," Ally replied, rolling her eyes, "but-"

"Girls! Hurry Hurry Hurry! I need to get ready for my date!" Zoe squealed, rushing out of the house dressed in nothing but a dressing gown and a towel wrapped around her hair on her head.

Ally and I rushed inside to start our masterpiece, Ally putting on her music again to calm Zoe down.

Zoe tied her hair back and sat on a kitchen chair whilst Ally started on her makeup and I made us all a cup of coffee.

After handing them both their mugs, I began working with Zoe's hair, twisting and curling and pinning until her hair hung down in glossy ringlets except for the front which was made into two little plaits and then pinned together at the back of her head in an intricate bun.

Proud of my work, I stepped back to admire it and then walked to the front of Ally's mum to see her face.

Ally was a genius.

Zoe was already stunning but with Ally's slight touch ups here and there as well as the bold red lipstick, Zoe looked flawless.

"You look stunning!" I told her, wanting to take in every detail of her appearance.

"I wish I could see." Zoe replied, scowling at Allison who had hidden all the mirrors until Zoe was completely ready.

"First, the dress!" Ally said, ignoring her mothers comment and skipping away to get the clothes.

Ally and I helped Zoe slide the dress over her head, carefully avoiding contact with her hair and makeup.

I didn't believe she could look any better, yet with the dress on, she managed to.

The floor length dress was a sleeveless lace with a sweetheart neckline, the colour made her lips look fuller and there was Ally special glittery touch to it that left the dress shimmering in the lighting.

I handed her her shoes and watched in admiration as she did a twirl for us.

"Mum, I've never seen you look so beautiful before." Ally complimented.

"I've never seen anyone look so beautiful before." I said.

Zoe beamed and wraps her arms around the pair of us, "I love you guys!" She told us, her voice cracking a little. We untangled ourselves from her arms and raced to grab some tissues.

Ally began to carefully dab any of the wetness away while I gave Zoe strict instructions not to cry tonight at any point no matter what or it would ruin our masterpiece, to which she agreed with a slight eye roll and a smile.

"Now go, leave and enjoy!" Ally beamed, giving her mum a quick hug and ushering out of the door.

We followed her out and waved some more, feeling like proud parents. Zoe was greeted by a handsome older man who's jaw dropped when he saw her.

Chuck was a total gentleman and helped her into the car and complimented her over and over while Zoe couldn't stop smiling.

"They're so adorable!" I said, not able to conceal my own smile at watching them.
