"Pick up the damn phone Ally!" I muttered to myself as I paced my bedroom. Nash had dropped me back home around 10 minutes ago and I had made myself some coffee to sober up when I realised I needed to tell Ally about tonight whilst it was still fresh in my mind.
"This better be super frickin' important if you're waking me up at..." She greeted, shuffling on the other end of the phone, presumably to check the time, "TWO FORTY FIVE AM AMELIA! ARE YOU CRAZY! I NEED MY BEAUTY SLEEP!"
"Calm down, I need to talk to you." I told her, taking a sip of my coffee and burning my tongue.
                              "About what?"
                              "Tonight."
                              "What about tonight."
I rolled my eyes, she was more excited than me earlier and now her sleep deprived mind had forgotten, "I went out... With Nash... I told you earlier..." I hinted.
"OH! HOW DID IT GO? TELL ME EVERYTHING!" She said, her voice suddenly upbeat and perky.
"Where do I even start?" I replied, smiling to myself as I remembered the night I'd had.
"Give me five minutes." Ally replied abruptly and hung up.
I stared at the blank screen in confusion but didn't worry too much, instead I pulled on a huge shirt to sleep in and finished my coffee.
I went downstairs to put the empty mug in the washing up bowl and was about to head back upstairs when a loud tapping on the door caught my attention.
I opened it slightly to reveal Ally wearing a big t-shirt with fluffy socks and wellies.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, letting her in, "were you trying to wake up my whole family?"
"Oh shush, I wasn't that loud." She replied with a wave of her hand, "anyway you know why I'm here. I came to hear what happened!"
I smiled at her without her noticing, she was too busy hunting through my cupboards.
                              "What are you looking for?"
"Either popcorn or spoons, depending on how tonight went." She replied without looking up.
I raised my eyebrow at her and she let out a sigh in frustration.
"if it went well then popcorn because this is exciting stuff, if the water works are gonna start then I need spoons for this." She explained, holding up the tub of ice cream and giving me a 'duh' look.
"It's definitely good," I promised her, snatching the ice cream from her grip, "but I'm taking this anyway because half baked is my favourite." I said, receiving a laugh from Ally.
I grabbed two spoons and a bag of salty popcorn for Ally and threw it to her before she followed me out of the kitchen.
                              *****
"Aw! He must seriously like you to do all of that for you!" Ally said, throwing a piece of popcorn at me which I caught in my mouth.
I didn't say anything, instead I pulled my legs up to my chest to hide my blush.
We were sitting on the swinging chair on the porch outside my house with the ice cream and popcorn between us.
"You know, sometimes I feel like I'm in a movie or book or something? There just so much drama, it doesn't seem real." Ally told me suddenly.
"I know. I feel the same sometimes."
Ally let out a sigh and handed me the ice cream pot, "more?"
"No thanks, if I eat any more I think I'll throw up." I replied, so she put the pot on the floor.
"Can I stay over tonight?" Ally asked me as we swung the chair a little watching the empty streets for movements.
"Since when do you ask?" I replied, faking a shocked expression, "who are you and what have you done to Alison?"
"Shut up loser, but you're right." She replied, "I meant to say, I'm staying over tonight, go get me some blankets."
                              "Get your own bloody blankets!"
"Eurgh, that's such a British thing to say and fine." She huffed, getting up and walking into my house.
Minutes later she charged back out the door and jumped on me, smothering me in fluffy blankets.
"Ow!" I yelled as Ally accidentally dug her elbow into my ribs. Ally covered my mouth with her palm.
"Sh, you don't wanna go waking everyone up now, do you?" She said, pretending she was being sensible but then leaving her hand over my mouth after I'd stopped speaking.
Oh, I see how it is. I thought, darting my tongue out of my mouth and onto her tongue.
"Ew!" Ally squealed, wiping my saliva onto my leg frantically.
I burst into a fit of giggles whilst she rushed into the house again to find some hand sanitiser.
                              "You're gross." She informed me.
                              "You love me really."
"In you're dreams." She said sassily, clearly proud of her childish comeback.
I ignored her remark and instead replied with "night ally."
I felt her curl up beside me on the swing, we'd made an unspoken agreement to sleep outside apparently.
"Night loser." She said before I drifted off to sleep.
