"So you're trying to tell me that nothing happened between you and Nash? You just walked to the park, played with Skylynn and then walked home?" Ally asked in utter disbelief.

"Precisely." Was my reply, popping a blueberry into my mouth and giving another one to her rabbit, Herbert.

"I don't believe you." She told me crossing her arms over her chest and staring at me as if she could read my mind.

"You can keep asking but the answer will not change. It was really weird, it was like we were strangers. I like this whole 'let's pretend we've just met' thing more than the 'I hate you' thing we had before."

"Mmm, but still," She sighed, "Didn't you want anything to happen?"

"No, I don't think so. I really like Shawn, even though he hasn't called me in ages." My voice drifted of at the end of my sentence as my thoughts wandered to why Shawn hadn't called yet.

"Stop feeding Herbert!" Ally squawked, snatching the bowl of blueberries from my hand, I'd been absent-mindedly supplying the little creature with the fruit. "You'll make him fat! He's supposed to be dieting." She informed me, picking up a handful for herself. "And about the Nash-Shawn-Amelia thing, I love Shawn, but are you sure he's the right guy for you? I mean you never even noticed him before and to be completely honest, I don't really see it, whereas everyone could see the spark with you and Nash."

I was about the agree with her when my phone buzzed in my pocket with a new message from Shawn.

"I think I'll give it a go with Shawn." I told her with an excited smile, lifting up the mobile to show her the message.

"Hey Mils, sorry I haven't texted in a while, I've been working on my music, but I can't stop thinking of you. I was wondering, how about we do that double date thing at the Fun Fair this Saturday? I really hope you say yes." Ally read aloud, a small smile spreading across her lips, "Okay, so that's a little cute... Ah, hell. If you wanna give it a go, I'm all for it! Plus I wanna go on this double date thing anyway, even if Matt and I are only 'Fating'."

"Fating?"

"Fake-Dating"

"Ah."

"Can we go out tonight?" Ally asked, suddenly pulling on her trainers without waiting for a reply.

"Where to?" I asked, grabbing my shoes and stuffing me feet inside.

"I wanna talk to Cameron. Or just stalk him for a little while. I haven't decided yet. Plus, it'd be really cool if we see Nash because I want to see how he acts around you for myself."

"Eurgh, fine." I muttered, shutting the door behind us as we walked down the street.

It was late afternoon as we walked down the street to Cameron's house. The sun shone down brilliantly without a even the slightest breath of wind to contrast with it. I felt overdressed in my little summer dress.

"I freaking love this weather." Ally said tilting her head up to the sky and closing her eyes.

"I couldn't agree more." I replied, pulling my hair into a messy pony tail; the back of my neck was sweating like crazy, I didn't even realise that could happen.

Ally became suddenly alert, violently grabbing my arm to stop me from moving forward.

"Aimee, stop!" she whispered urgently.

We'd just reached the house before Cam's, "Why? What's wrong?" I squeaked, a little worried by her seriousness.

"We can just go strutting over there! We have to be sneaky!" She informed me, putting her hands together to look like a gun.
