Ally told me I was coming to her house straight from the bus stop, so after saying goodbye to Ashley who was struggling to hang on to her crumbling bag, we made our way to Ally's house.

I noticed that my packed bag for mine and Ally's trip say by the door as we arrived, but didn't comment, not wanting to ruin the surprise as the anticipation grew inside me.

"Mum! We're home!" Ally called as she walked through towards the kitchen.

Ally's house was smaller than mine, but much more person and obviously decorated by girls, there were lots of little plant pots spread around and chick flicks spilling from DVD racks, there were pink and white blankets stacked up neatly under a coffee table in the middle of the room and photos of Ally growing up decorated the walls, her house was so pretty and always smelled like baking and roses.

"In here darlings!" She called from outside.

We followed her voice to the little garden patch outside where she was planting some tulips.

"Hey Zoe!" I said as we walked over to her. "Ah, hello Millie! I haven't seen you in a long time!" She said, standing up to give me a hug.

I loved Ally's mum, she was so sweet, she had a welcoming smile and beautiful features that only got better in a more sophisticated with age, she looked like she could be Ally's sister, especially due to their similar looks.

"I know, I'm sorry." I apologised, she just smiled her little smile and continues with her gardening. "So, I heard you have a date tonight?" I asked.

"Well, technically it's tomorrow, but I leave tonight." Zoe replied.

"Well, we all do." Ally added.

"What do you mean?" I asked, Ally grinned at me and ran off into the house yelling 'don't tell her anything!' To her mum as she sprinted away.

"Okay, so my date with Chuck, that's the man in going with, is a skiing date in France and then a dinner out, so you girls need to help me get ready which means-"

"WE'RE GOING TO PARIS!" Ally exclaimed, waving the tickets in my face.

I stood frozen in place, a million thoughts rushing to my head, I don't know how I wasn't jumping around in excitement yet and apparently neither did Ally because she looked at me with a raised eyebrow, then after realising how much of a worrier I am, she said, "don't worry, it's all arranged, we spoke to your mum, the tickets been bought and we have everything covered. Aimee, you're going to Paris with me whether you like it or not."

Finally, I calmed down, which meant getting more excited and threw my arms around Ally, both of us squealing in excitement. Then we split enough to include Zoe and we were all jumping and hugging and squealing.

"Okay, okay, enough." Zoe said, but she was still chucking, "you two need to hurry up and get ready, we have about an hour to get ready and two hours to get to the airport."

Ally and I rushed indoors and began throwing clothes into bags and packing phone chargers and brushes and underwear and Pyjamas and money and anything else we could fit, it wasn't long until we were being ushered out the door hauling a huge bag each to the taxi.

Then we were in the car.

"Oh my god, I never realised how tough it was to pack in a rush!" Ally groaned, massaging her hands as if pulling her suitcase had caused her physical pain, I rolled my eyes and laughed.

"Yes, we just got in the car... She's fine... Yep she packed them... I'll call you if there are any problems... I promise... Of course... Okay... Bye." Ally's mum was saying from the passenger seat as she held her mobile against her ear.

"Who's she talking to?" I whispered to Ally.

"You're mum." She told me, "she is one hell of a worrier, I guess we know where you got it from."

"Mmm." I mumbled back, practising how to tie my shoelaces, Ally had taught me the 'grown up' way since I was still using the two bunny ears method.

We were in matching nighties now as we knew we were going to be sleeping on the plane and also because who doesn't wanna sleep in huge dress-type sleeping clothes with Disney characters on them that their best friend has the replica of in a different colour?

We do, that's for sure.

We looked like such idiots and two hours later we were plodding around the airport getting funny looks from strangers as we made our way to the plane.

"This is so exciting! I've never been on holiday with my anyone other than family before!" I said to Ally, rocking back and forth on my feet.

"I know, I can't wait! And most of the time it'll be just you and me because we're staying in a separate place to mum because she's going to sleep in the ski hotel for every night except the first night and we get an apartment to ourselves!" Ally replied, neither one of us could stop smiling as we boarded the plane.

We sat in a three and I got the window seat, I couldn't help but remember the last time I was on a plane on my way to America for the first time, it was funny how so much has changed in less than a year.

"Do you miss living in England?" Ally asked, looking past me to see out of the window.

"I don't know." I replied honestly, "sometimes I miss being close to my family and being the same as everyone else, but most of the time I prefer my life now, being different and having a fresh start. Plus," I said, leaning my head on her shoulder and smiling up at her, "if I hadn't moved to America, I wouldn't have met you and meeting you was one of the best things that ever happened to me."

"But you also had horrible things happen here, like Nash and Mahogany and Daisy..." Her voice trailed of.

"But that doesn't mean I regret moving here, I've changed as a person thanks to all of those things, but I like who I am now and I'm glad I have you to make sure I stay liking who I am, because you're my sister and I trust you to look after me."

"Sister?" Ally asked.

"Soul sisters, forever and always." I told her, holding up my pinky so I could promise.

"I like that." Ally said, sealing the deal with her pinky. "Now stop being so mushy and put on a movie."

I laughed, "which one? Clueless or Mr and Mrs Smith? Or we could marathon gossip girl?"

"gossip girl, obviously." she told me with a wink.

Zoe decided she wanted to join us, so we ordered hot chocolate and pulled out the blanket Ally had put in her bag and snuggled together with the blankets draped over us watching gossip girl until we fell asleep.
