"Breathe," Kaari's OB chuckled when she tensed up. She was in the process of getting a pap smear and forgot how uncomfortable the procedure was.
"Why you flinching like you don't be handling my shit?" Tamir whispered in her ear then smirked when her jaw dropped. "Better toughen up," he winked and she mugged him.
"And... done... it wasn't that bad."
"Tuh," Kaari chuckled.
"I'll be back in a few minutes, you can put your clothes back on."
Nodding, Kaari sat up and exhaled as she grabbed her jeans.
Tamir sat in the empty chair and stared at her for a moment, "You ok?"
"Yuh sure yur ok with dis?" she asked, avoiding his gaze as she pulled her jeans up.
"Yes," he reached over and grabbed her hand, "What's up? You having second thoughts?"
"Jus scared... dah all," she admitted.
"That's ok but know that I'm right here with you, Kaari," he promised, "Every step of the way, baby I'm here, you understand?"
"Yeah," she smiled softly.
"I still wanna give you my last name, but you playing," he smirked and she laughed.
"Why do yuh even waan marry mi?" she asked, sitting back on the bed.
"Beca-"
"Alright," the OB spoke, cutting Tamir off once she entered the room. "Ready to talk babies?"
Kaari smiled, glancing at Tamir, "We're ready."
"Two months pregnant... how did I not notice?" Tamir questioned more to himself as he slid into the driver's side. Kaari's first prenatal checkup ran a little longer than he had assumed but he didn't mind because whereas Kaari was scared to ask questions, Tamir was asking any and everything that came to his mind. He was excited to be a father and even more excited about the baby. Now they were on their way to pick up some seafood for their indoor date.
"Beats mi... mi a tink yuh be able fi tell di difference," she snickered and he smirked.
"Oh, trust me," he licked over his lips, "I felt it but I figured you've been doing some pussy exercises or something."
Kaari busted out laughing, "Nasty."
"You know you love my nasty ass," he replied, glancing at her momentarily before focusing on the road.
"Yuh know it," she smiled then yawned, "Oh man."
"Yo ass is not going to sleep... we finna get this seafood, set this movie up, crush and maybe fuck a bit."
Kaari gasped, "Really?"
Tamir nodded, "I'm oh so serious, woman."
"Crazy," she giggled then touched her stomach, "Wah are yuh hoping for?"
"Shittttt," he dragged then smiled, "A lil me."
Kaari playfully rolled her eyes, "Gyal."
Tamir sucked his teeth, "We can have a girl second, she needs an older brother first."
Pursing her lips, Kaari pondered for a bit then nodded, "Ok, fine... yuh waan two kids?"
"How many you want?"
Kaari shrugged, "Nuh sure."
"Maybe two and then we could see if we want more after," he suggested.
