On September the 17th, at 4:44 pm, Omari Tyler Stone-Jackson was born. It was unexpected for Kaari, and even the rest of the family had assumed that she would have a daughter just like Reign, but it seemed as if both twins got exactly what they needed. Tamir was elated and could barely keep his cool at the hospital. He wanted a son but always said he would be fine if he had a daughter but everyone could see the excitement in his eyes. Even the men wanted to fight over who could spend time with baby boy but of course, Kaari called first dibs, and being that she was hogging baby Neela from Reign, she gave Reign the second in command.
Kairo and Kelly were still out and on the cruise but they spoke with everyone via Facetime to give congratulations. Assyria was happy to have more boys in the family and she was even happier when Kaari asked if she would be Omari's God-mom. Of course, without hesitating, she agreed and took pride in doing so. Tamir ended up proposing two weeks later and at first, Kaari thought he was being funny, being that she made it clear plenty of times that marriage wasn't something that she could see for herself, but once she realized that he was serious and had the family waiting on her response, she caved and said yes.
When would their wedding happen? They left it up to Kaari to decide but as she told Tamir and everyone else, she wanted to focus on being a mom and they had no problems with that. The oldest of the Stone clan had kids of their own, only two months apart, and the family was eating it up. They were seeing a newer side of the twins and the adults and kids were proud. It was one thing to see the twins in sibling mode, or even friend mode, but witnessing the two in mommy mode, oh yeah, the family knew the world wasn't ready for their wrath if drama tried to make its way to them.
It was the beginning of December, the weather was cooler, the days were shorter and the nights were longer and a bit more chaotic, at least for Lucky it was. He and Ava had made it to their fifth-month mark of the talking and dating stage but he still couldn't deal with his night terrors. He hadn't come around to telling her why he had trouble sleeping at night but as the days went on, he was drawing closer into doing so, but something always got in the way. Lucky could tell that Ava was and had fallen for him harder than he had hoped or wanted and he had no idea how to slow things down or convince her not to.
He was still on his mission to take down Delano and with doing so, the young boys that worked the corner for him had taken their business elsewhere. Even after Delano came into some unexpected money, his minions were no longer eager or readily available to wait on his every beck and call or do his dirty work. New groups were forming, new traps and territories were being created and Delano was losing his status. Nobody was checking in to ask him for permission about selling on his turf. Nobody was pressed to cut deals with him or meet him unless it resulted in a gunfight.
But there was one person that the newcomers extended that respect to- King. Even the corner boys and delivery boys that worked under Delano were coming around, asking around, and seeking King's blessing to do what they do. Was King meeting with the new cats wanting to be even a quarter of him? Hell no, but did it stop the messages from getting to him? Nope.
King hadn't realized what was going on and neither did Delano. New people were moving in but they had respect for the streets and respect for the living legend. They all wanted to make it, grow in status, and get in with the big crew but there was another person that was calling the shots that they never personally met yet- Lucky.
Did he have plans on taking over the east coast, Virginia in itself when he knew who it belonged to? Not at all, but he planned on bleeding Delano dry and the moment it was time for him to officially strike, he was going for the kill. While changing things up, the feds began to back off once they realized that Delano was a literal dead man walking. What was their point in snatching him up for what he had done to Kelly and her father when there were as the feds called it, dumbasses eager to light him up?
