Acacia Mcknight

I snuggled under the blanket as the warmth of the bed on a cold winter day lulled me in.

You know that feeling when you feel so sleepy and cold, and then someone covers you with the warmest blanket? Maybe not, but it's such a beautiful feeling.

You are just so weird, Casey. Wake up already.

I hummed lightly and dug my face in the cool pillow.

The velvety fabric of my night suit felt so nice against my skin.

All my thoughts were interrupted by a sneeze. Then another sneeze.

It was a gentle, soft sneeze not loud or annoying.

I kicked the blanket off of me and sat straight on the bed. My hair got in my face so I pushed them away and looked at Damien.

Obviously, who else would sneeze? It's only me and Damien in the bedroom.

Genius.

Damien's nose was purely red. His arm was on his temple and the other was on his stomach.

He looked very pale and the skin of his arms looked irritated.

Instinctively, I reached out to him and touched his forehead.

I believe I alerted him because he instantly opened his eyes and grabbed my wrist.

"Are you okay?" I asked softly.

Damien nodded and let go of my wrist, turning to face me.

"Damien, you got a cold!" I yelped and moved closer to him.

Don't panic! We don't work well under stress!

Damien let out a weak chuckle, "I'm fine, Acacia. Don't stress it and go get ready, you'll be late"

I shot my head towards the wall clock but I had time.

"Did you swim after I slept? Or did you drink? Damien, you seriously need to stop!" I scolded him, standing up to get some warmers and medicines.

Damien kept his eyes on me, licking his lips slowly.

And sensually.

Damien has this habit of swimming late at night and I don't know what goes around in his head. He's always sick in the mornings yet he never stops.

Well swimming, that's hot.

"Alcohol is the only constant in my life" Damien's husky voice rang throughout the room as I glared at him.

"You get sick, Damien. You need to stop drinking and swimming at night. Your body can't handle it yet you never stop" I scolded him like a kid as he rolled his eyes.

"Yes, Acacia. I won't, okay?" He whispered as I caressed his hair.

I pouted slightly, nodding "Promise?"

Are you a baby?

Damien scoffed, intervening our pinkies, "Pinkie promise"

I smiled and said, "I'll be making breakfast, come down quickly"

Damien's eyes widened as he quickly shook his head, "No please, Acacia, I'll cook-"

My jaw fell in surprise as I asked, offended, "Damien! Do I not cook good!?"

You don't, accept it already.

Suddenly, he started to laugh, "No Acacia, you do but I'd like to cook today"
