"Black looks good on you, Acacia"
My breath hitched as I gradually turned around only to see Damien leaning against the door, smirking at my lingerie-clad figure. His hands tucked deep inside his pockets, his shirt slightly unbuttoned. His thumb pl...
It has been half an hour since Acacia woke up from her nap and since then, she hasn't gotten up from the couch nor has she stopped eating my dear strawberry ice cream. And with every bite, she whines about how much she hates strawberries.
Acacia has a pink fur blanket wrapped around her, her lips are pouting and her eyes are red from crying.
"Tristan! Were you even listening to me?" She cried, throwing her hands in the air as she let out an irritated sigh.
Dude, she can be so adorable at times, no wonder Damien married her.
I really feel for her.
"I uh. Sorry, yes of course I was, Acacia" I whispered and handed her a purple plushie.
Her eyes lit up as she instantly took the plushie from me, "I heard it helps girls or something. Samantha and Andrea loved them, I thought you would too"
She chuckled lightly and nodded, "Thanks a lot, it should. And staying a million miles away from Damien will help too"
Damien is just crazy, I don't know why he's acting so irrationally. He has an angel in the form of his wife but he doesn't realise it.
I smiled lightly and nodded.
Then Acacia stood up and folded the blanket before asking, "Where can I keep this? Tristan?"
I shook my head and grabbed it from her, "I'll do that, watch tv or eat more"
She just smiled and patted my head as I chuckled.
I walked to the guest room: where Acacia will be staying, and placed it on the bed.
When I walked out, Acacia was standing in the kitchen, gaping at the pile of dishes.
Ah damn, if I knew she'd be coming, I would have cleaned up.
Usually, mom comes over very often to check if I did the chores so I do them often but she is travelling so I was free.
The moment she heard my footsteps, she turned around and began laughing, she's cute.
"T-Tristan! When was the last time you cleaned these? 3 years ago?" I smiled and shook my head,
"Longer than that" I was just joking around and she started to laugh even louder as she stumbled back.
I chuckled and said, "Come on, which movie? Trolls or Moana?"
Earlier, Acacia had told me how much she loved those movies and even though I have never watched anything under 18, I think I'll need to watch it so she feels better.
Anyway, tomorrow I will have to deal with Damien too. He's my best friend and I wish the best for him.
"No, Tristan. First, I'll deal with this and then Moana, I think." She waved me off but I didn't walk.
She reached out and grabbed a plate and I was flabbergasted. I mean I don't know how to deal with girls!
I have been in numerous relationships but they were for anything but care.
I too reached out and said, "I'll help too"
Acacia looked at me, over her shoulder and shook her head, "Please, Tristan, this is the least I can do"
I sighed and nodded, "I'll be in the living room then, call me if you need me. Cutie pie"
Acacia giggled and nodding, "Sure, handsome"
I chuckled and threw myself over the couch. Hmm, comfy.
I scrolled through Netflix. Huh, Black mirror? 365 days? Haha, no. That man had absolutely no scope in life, utterly useless. Why are the suggestions today pathetic?
My attention diverted to Acacia, she was quietly doing the dishes and then I looked towards the door.
I heard the lock snap open and I sat up straight, furrowing my brows.
Who the fuck is opening it now?
Who else has the key to my penthouse? Samantha? No way.
Damien Fucking Mcknight.
There he stood, leaning against the door. A smirk plastered on his lips as he winked at me.
Ah, fuck!
I opened my mouth to say something but he placed his index on his lips and gestured to zip it.
I looked in the direction of Acacia and Damien took a few steps towards her, standing behind the column.
"One word and you'll see my wrath, Tristan" He mouthed, his features expressions.
I shook my head and raised my hands.
Hell no. I don't want to see his wrath. Damien is scary, even to me so, no way.
I won't involve myself in their matters. Acacia came over for help, and I did, now I won't interfere.
