Acacia Mcknight

The sound of crying alerted me while I prepared the milk bottle for my baby.

I left all my work and rushed upstairs to find Elliot sitting on Damien's chest, crying loudly.

"Oh God," I smiled and crossed my arms in front of my chest.

It's been 12 months since Elliot came into our lives and I and Damien couldn't be happier. He is our Angel and the light of our lives. I remember how shocked Damien was when I told him, and how people were busy comforting him when I gave birth to our baby. I mean he was crying harder than Elliot and me.

Elliot is just as intelligent as Damien yet he has my looks, yes I am very proud but his eyes are deep green, like his dad.

All these months were absolute bliss and I was very thankful for everything. My once broken life has turned into a fairytale and it's all because of Damien.

Speaking of Damien, I couldn't thank him enough for existing. He is still just as playful as a year ago yet he is not as reserved. He is very caring and understanding. However, he is very protective of me and Elliot.

Our bedroom was filled with Elliot's toys. Thrown randomly, here and there. I am sure Elliot woke up cranky today, otherwise he is a pretty organized baby.

"Daddy!" Elliot cooed and hit Damien's chest.

Damien remained unfazed because he was in deep sleep and just as I took another step, inside the room, Elliot began smacking Damien's face and crying louder than before.

"Daddy! Wakeyy!" He yelped and then put his head on Damien's chest.

His chubby cheeks puffed up, his brows knitted together and his tiny lips stuck out in a pout.

My heart warmed up at the sight and Damien woke up, rubbing his eyes before wrapping his arms around Elliot, protectively.

"Someone's a little grumpy today, huh?" Damien chuckled and caressed Elliot's brown hair.

Elliot's cheeks were red from crying and his hair was messed up. His tiny hands clenched around Damien's chains.

Elliot cooed but didn't calm down as I walked towards them and sat on the bed, next to them both.
