I stared at her surprised face in confusion.

How does she know his name?
I don't remember telling his name to her.
And why is she shocked by seeing him?

I answered, "Yes, he is. How do you know him?"

She averted her gaze from Ryan to me and I could sense a kind of restlessness in her demeanour.
She stuttered, "I-I.. umm... Is he Alicia's son?"

All three of us gazed at her immensely dumbfounded by her statement.

Aiden suddenly asked, "How do you know that?"

She matched her gaze with Aiden and stuttered, "I-I am h-her friend. H-How is s-she? I-I haven't seen her in years?"
I could feel dismal in her voice, and pain and hurt in her eyes.

Aiden answered, "Actually she died when Ryan was 10 years old."

Emily gasped and covered her mouth with her hands, tears formed in her eyes. She said, "I didn't know that. I am so sorry. "

I put a hand on her shoulder, "We are happy that you were her friend. Ryan will be so happy to meet you."

Everyone was so quiet so I broke the silence, "I can't believe that we are over this horrendous situation now. I am so glad that finally, happy days are back."
