"Brother, how long must you slump in your throne for? Another century or two I suppose?" Caius gave off a small smirk and in return he got a side glare from the depressed vampire.

"If you had your mate ripped from your your would be in the same parliament dear brother. Now do , as they say now a days, shut up. Your voice can get annoying after so long"

All caius did was roll his eyes and continue smirking.

"Marcus" aro said, looking said vampire in the eyes and gave a wicked grin.

"As for helping me with my paperwork yesterday, you may have extra humans today. One of few gifts from I to you" aro giggled creepily before sitting himself in his throne, waiting for the catch of the day to come through those doors.

Winters pov

"And this is the throne room, where our lovely kings are bestowed" Heidi said as she came in with the tourists.

I happen to be part of the tourist group, and I'm a vampire. I hid in the shadows and when I heard of a tour of the castle I just had to join. I obviously had red eyes, so I made sure to hide them with sunglasses and wore a black leather jacket,black tights,and some black heels. Something simple but very well maintained. I couldn't get hot anyway so why not be fashionable and easy on the eyes.

When she finally opened the door my undead heart bumped a few before warming me up, my eyes widened underneath the sunglasses.
We all went inside and I made sure to stand a bit away from the group, my blood lust coming slowly. I took an un-needed gulp and clenched my teeth.

The feeling of being warm, which isn't a thing I'm used to, and the smell of blood was intoxicating.

"Welcome friends, to Volterra. You've came just in time for the feast" the guy from the middle of the throne stood up and grinned wickedly. I could clearly see they were vampires from the red eyes.

"...aro" I turn my eyes and see a guy slumped in his throne like chair, staring at me. I could feel a strong bond to this person,but I'm not sure why.

This "aro" guy grabbed the other guys hand and my chest churned. I didn't like him touching this depressed looking dude.

Aro looked shocked but then happy and giggled creepily. He clapped his hands together and walked towards me. "Hello Cara mia, what's your name?"

I stood quiet for half a second before answering. "Winter" I said monotonous, the clenching in my chest now gone since he stopped holding his hand.

His red eyes peered into mine that hid behind sunglasses,before he slowly reached and removed them. My red eyes now in sight.

Aro chuckled. "What a lovely red my dear" I couldn't help but laugh a bit. We had the same colored eyes and he's saying how beautiful they were, kinda funny.

"Why thank you,I happen to like the color of yours as well" I smirked and he smirked with me. We both heard a growl and turn to see the same depressed guy clenching his throne.

"Marcus calm down, you should know the best that we only have a brotherly pull". Marcus forced himself to calm down and nodded, making me smile a bit.

"Why don't you sit I my throne while we...start the feast my dear? It seems you have already ate with how the color if your eyes are very bright" aro gently glided me to his throne,where I sat down gently and he giggled once again.

"Let the feast begin!" And with that , every vampire but myself chose a human to drink, and it would seem Marcus was allowed more than he usually ate since he had more of a body count laying on the floor,lifeless.

One of the humans came to me screaming for me to help them,I just stood and grabbed their throat and used my gift.

"You will walk right up to Marcus and let him drink from you. You will not make a sound and you will be excited to let someone like Marcus drink from you. You will pretend to feel no pain. Now go"

The girl quietly made his way to Marcus and just tilted her head to him,smiling like crazy. I just giggle in aros throne and watch as Marcus drinks from her. She didn't scream, and she made no other sound. The only sound coming from her was when her body dropped to the floor.

"Fantastico! Your gift will benefit us!" Aro laughed and came right up to me. "My gift allows me to see every thought you've ever had since you were born to know, may I?" He put his hand infront of me and I just shrugged ans took it,which made him smile widely. His eyes had a distant look before coming back,his smile not as big anymore. It was more of a sad smile.

I gave him a sad smile,knowing he was looking at how my family treated me and how I died.

I shook it off when Marcus came up to me and helped me out of the throne.

"You are my mate, and I know you feel the pull as well. You feel warm no?" His voice would have made me blush if I wasn't dead. I nodded my head and he smiled widely. Everyone besides the 2 other kings gasped at the sight.

Everyone this is your new queen, winter. Be respectful or I will personally tear you limb from limb"

I laughed and played with my white hair before he led us to his room.
