He was running and I just found myself meters away from him.

Lewis...

How did he get here? And where were we?

He stopped when he saw me. Then, he held me by the shoulders. Napakunot ang noo ko sa inaasta niya. Balisang-balisa siya at palaging tinitingnan ang likuran niya. May humahabol ba sa kaniya?

Napalibot ang tingin ko sa paligid namin. We were in an isolated street. There was only a lamppost a few meters from us and it was even flickering. Medyo madilim. Walang tao o kaya ay bahay. Kaya sino naman ang hahabol sa kaniya gayong kami lang ang nadirito?

Napabalik ang tingin ko kay Lewis nang magsalita siya.

"Take care of her for me, please." Iyon ang unang sinabi niya. Hinihingal pa rin siya mula sa pagtakbo.

Kumunot ang noo ko dahil hindi ko alam kung sino ang tinutukoy niya. May nabanggit siya tungkol sa isang tao noon pero hindi naman niya sinabi ang buong detalye. "Who is she?"

"Someone important. I can't be with her... I thought I could get out of this, but I'm afraid there's no way out, Guia," sabi niya.

"Lewis... Sabihin mo sa akin anong nangyayari. Sino ang tinutukoy mo?"

"M—"

"Babe, wake up."

A familiar voice woke me up from the dream.

Habol ang hiningang napaupo ako sa kama. I didn't even notice I was catching my breath. My eyes immediately landed on the person standing on the side of the bed. Naupo siya sa tabi ko at hinawakan ang kamay ko. His eyes showed concern.

"Bad dream?" Tanong niya while caressing my hand. Napatango nalang ako at huminga nang malalim. Pierce pulled me in for a hug and I wrapped my arms tightly around him. Sinandal ko ang ulo ko sa balikat niya habang nakatitig sa kawalan. His fingers were softly stroking my hair and it somehow calmed me down.

The Lewis in my dream... he was trying to escape danger. His clothes were rugged and his hair was in tangled mess.

He was about to tell me her name...

Who's M? Or was it even the first letter of her name?

The Lewis in my dream told me she was someone important... I remembered Lewis telling me that there was this someone he left and he can't take her back. Is that the person he was talking about? Why on earth did he tell me that I know her? How? How would I know her?

Kumalas ako sa pagkakayakap ni Pierce at agad kong kinuha ang phone ko saka tinitigan ang unregistered number na gamit ni Lewis. I wanted to call him or even just message him, but he strictly told me not to. I'm torn. I badly wanted to know who he was referring to. But would he tell me, though?

Was dream Lewis telling a truth? Or was it just purely dreaming?

"Babe, are you okay?"

I looked at Pierce and gave him a small smile. "Yes, but can you leave me for a moment?"

He seemed hesitant but he just let out a sigh and nodded as he quietly stood up. He reached for me and kissed the top of my head. "Call me if you need something," sabi niya, bakas sa boses ang lungkot saka tahimik na lumabas ng kwarto ko.

Matapos niyang isara ang pinto ay napasandal ako sa headboard at tinitigang muli ang number doon. Nasulyapan ko rin ang orasan at oras na pala para mag-almusal.

Ipinikit ko ang mga mata and did a breathing exercise. Wala akong ganang kumain at 'di naman ako nagugutom kaya itutulog ko nalang.

I was about to go back to sleep nang may kumatok ng dalawang beses saka binuksan ang pinto ng kwarto ko. George came in with a tray in hand.
