Chapter 44

*Stephs P.O.V*
I stood there staring at the faces- the faces of the people who I adore most of all. They all stared back anxiously, wondering why I had called a group meeting. Jai walked towards me smiling his goofy smile- he stood behind me and laces his arms around my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder.
"I've called a group meeting today to announce.." I started, but got too overwhelmed so had to take a deep breath, Jai squeezed me lightly, "I'm pregnant." I said, smiling. I was scared for everyone's reaction, especially Ginas- after Beaus incident with Hollie...Oh my god! I completely forgot about that.
Everyone cheered- Gina covered her mouth and closed her eyes, tears escaping her eyes. Luke, James and Daniel came and leaped on me, humping me slightly whilst I led on the floor. Typical. Beau clapped his hand against Jai's, before pulling him into a hug. Gina remained sat on the sofa crying.
These people have taught me a lot in the past 6 years- take each moment at a time, learn to let go, take opportunities when you get them and don't ever take crap from anyone. I haven't gone to see my Mum or brother in ages, because I have learnt to move on, let go and live my life. Justin is dead to me, now. Jai is my other half and I don't want anything to mess that up, not even my stupid decisions. Oh and I didn't tell you, Beau told me about Hollie. Something really weird happened. Hollie had twins, one in which belonged to her ex boyfriend and the other which belonged to Beau. They didn't even look the same? How that's even possible, I have no idea? But it happened, little Fletcher is nearly 4 now. Beau was a father. I missed my best friends child's childhood. Oh wow...
Life was perfect. And nothing could take this away from me. Nothing.

"Alright little man?" Beau said, sitting Fletcher on his knee. He was mini Beau- looked just like him. He was gorgeous. It's been 3 days since I told everyone- the boys don't jump on me as much and Gina is taking great care of me, aswell as Jai of course. Today, I invited Beau over and he had Fletcher for the day, so they both came over. Fletcher pulled on Beaus top, so Beau arched his back slightly so his ear was next to Fletchers mouth. Fletcher started whispering something into his ear, whilst cupping Beaus face in his tiny hand.
"Why don't you ask Steph nicely?" Beau said down to Fletcher, a small smile planted on his lips. Fletcher looked over at me and back to Beau and back to me again. He hopped off of Beaus lap and slowly walked over to me.
"Steph?" He asked. I smiled at him, "please may I have some chocolate?"
"Hmm.. Chocolate.." I said, thinking whether I actually had any, "Ah, Fletcher, come with me." I said, standing up off the sofa. He grabbed my hand, I looked down. He was looking up at me, big green eyes staring. This is adorable. I swung Fletcher around and planted him on my hip, carrying him into the kitchen. I sat him in the desk top and opened the fridge.
"Uncle Jai made this yesterday- there's a slice left. I've been saving it just for you." I lied, but it's what you gotta do for kids. I pulled the last slice of chocolate cake out of the fridge. "Okay, now, do you want it warm, ice cream, cream, sprinkles, more chocolate?" I listed him the options, making him and myself excited.
"Everything!" He said with his little baby voice, whilst throwing both arms up into the air. Okay- lets do this. I put the cake in the microwave for 1 minute, making the top layer of chocolate melt, I put a scoop of ice cream next to it and squirty cream. I threw some maltesers and chocolate stars in the bowl too.
"Here you go." I said, giving the bowl to Fletcher with a spoon and picked him up, placing him on the floor.
"Wow..." He gasped, looking into his bowl before running off, "Daddy look what aunt Steph made me." I then froze- did he just call me 'Aunt' Steph? Oh my god, how overwhelming. I walked into the front room and Beau thanked me, followed by an innocent thank you from Fletcher.
"So Beau, what are you and Hollie doing?" I asked Beau, throwing myself into the chair.
"We're just friends- for Fletch." He said, placing Fletcher on his knee. I heard a key be pushed into the front door lock. Jai soon entered the room, a beanie on and the hood off his hoodie thrown over the top.
"Special delivery." He said, walking in with a McDonalds bag.
"Is that for me?" I grinned, pointing to my chest.
"It is indeed." He said, sitting on the arm of my chair, putting the McDonalds in my lap.
"Thanks babe." I said to him, looking up to him and pouting my lips. He bent over, placing his soft wet lips on mine. I opened the mcDonalds take away bag to find my favourite chicken burger, fries and a juice. I started eating.
"Finished!" Fletcher sang, throwing his spoon over his shoulder.
"Pick that up." Beau demanded, pointing at the spoon. Fletcher jumped off his knee and picked the spoon up, "Good boy, we best be going- get you back to Mummy's house." Beau said, taking the spoon and bowl off him and taking it to the kitchen, "See you later, guys."
"Bye." Jai and I said in sync.
"Bye bye." Fletcher waved, we waved back smiling and soon they were both gone. Jai laid me on the sofa, putting my lunch on the coffee table. He placed both of his large hands on my stomach. I smiled down at him, using one arm to rest behind my head as I watched.
"What do you want it to be?" I asked him, watching his eyes lovingly stare at my stomach.
"I don't mind- the important thing is, I'm going to be a Dad- and the girl I love is carrying the baby." He said, shuffling up and kissing me passionately.
"I'm scared." I said, biting my lip.
"Oh..." Jai sighed, "it'll all be worth it, baby."
"Oh no, no- I meant it as a good scared... Like i was 'moving back to Melbourne' scared, 'meeting you after the corner shop' scared.... It's an excited scared." I explained.
"In that case... I'm scared too." Jai smiled, kissing me again.
