Happily never after {FINISHED}

Chapter 20

Jai's P.O.V:

I woke up tucked up in the corner of the tent. I sat up to see where everyone else fell asleep. Beau and skip were tucked in one corner and James in another corner. What made me laugh was that Steph was spread out in the middle. She had squashed everyone into the corners.

"good morning" I heard steph whisper. I looked at her and she had her onesie hood up to hide her morning hair.

"morning" I whispered back, smiling. This girl is so beautiful... Even in the morning!!

"did you sleep well?" she asked.

"yes thank you... How about you?" I asked back.

"yeah, surprisingly I did" she giggled her cute giggle. I smiled back and turned onto my back. I stretched my legs out and took a deep breath. I heard steph get up and crawl. I looked up to see her crawling towards me. She layed beside me and looked at the top of the tent where I was looking.

"what are you thinking about mister?" she sighed. I didn't get what she meant at first. I turned my head to look at her, but she kept her focus on the top of the tent.

"what?" I asked. She then turned her head and looked at me.

"what are you thinking about? I don't know how to be more clear about that" she giggled. I thought about it. I was thinking about her, but I can't tell her that... What do I say?!

"I'm thinking about what we should do today" I replied. She nodded.

"got anything in mind?" she asked.

"not yet.. Something will come to me though" I said, looking back up to the top of the tent.

"right.. I'm going for a shower" she said, standing up and stretching, hitting the top of the tent. " where are the showers"

"go out of the tent and follow the toilet signs. When you get to the toilets... Follow the shower signs. Sorry, I would show you... But I'm so warm here" I said. I felt like a terrible friend but she'll survive.

"nah it's fine.. See you in 10 minutes" she said, climbing out of the tent.

After she left, I thought about her for a while. The way her hair falls perfectly by her shoulders. They way crinkles are formed by her eyes when she laughs. She's just perfect.. Enough said really.

"you want her" Luke said stretching.

"yepp" I said, climbing out of my sleeping bag so I can get changed,

"just ask her out" Luke said, "before I do" Luke winked.

"what?" I said, a flush of jealousy went through my veins,

"mate, she's amazing! I'd get her before she's taken" he said. I never admit this... But I have amazing brothers, they're always there for me. Without their advice at the minute, u wouldn't be this close to asking steph out. Yes, I have a plan... It's perfect.

"I'm going to ask her tonight, don't worry" I said, climbing out of the tent so I could think of something to do today.

Steph's P.O.V:

It's really frustrating now. Why is it that whenever I like a boy, they either hate me or only like me as a friend. I had to make some sort of move. I asked him what he was thinking... Surely that's a huge turn off?!?! Im not gunna lie, I was so scared waiting for Jai's answer. I think it's my boy past thats kinda making me worried. Yeah, I love jai... A lot! But my dad used to tell me that you can't trust anyone, no matter how close they may feel. Do I need to believe that? Or is it aload of poop?!

These thoughts zoomed round my head as I let the hot water run down my body. I love having showers in the morning, it brightens my day.

I wonder if I ever will have a chance with jai! I will be one lucky girl if I do. We'll have to see what happens. I squirted shower gel onto my hand and rubbed it into my stomach. I watched as the steam, from the hot water, rose. I rinsed the bubbles off are rubbing it in everywhere, then watched the bubbles vanish down the plug.

If me and jai do happen, I wonder how it will happen. I mean like, how jai will ask me or how I will ask jai. Would I really be that desperate though... To ask jai out?! I thought it was meant to be the other way round, boy asks girl. Oh, I don't know.

I rubbed shampoo into my hair as I thought more about jai.

I wonder if he actually was thinking about what we were going to do today.. Or whether he just lied. I won't ask him anymore questions like that now cause I might make it obvious I like him.

I grabbed my towel, after rinsing my hair, and wrapped it round my wet body. I rubbed myself down to dry me. Once I was dry I put on my clothes which was hollister track suit bottoms, a tight plain white T-Shirt and a superdry hoody. On my feet I wore my silver high tops. Yes, I looked like a boy, but they're clothes that make me feel comfortable.

I went into another room with hair dryers so I could dry my hair. It doesn't take that long to dry my hair, so I did that before I applied my small amount of make up.

Jai's P.O.V:

I know, we can go to the big lake and have a picnic on the feild. Don't they have a rental shack? Oh! I know what we can do today! We can rent Canoes and sail on the big lake. I know the boys will love that and I'm sure Steph would like it too. Shes an adventurous girl, she'll be up for anything. 'YOLO' she would say. I couldn't agree more, you only live once, so live life as its best!

I saw steph walk back with her towel ravelled up under her arm and her bag slung over her shoulder. No body else was awake yet, so it would just be me and her awake.

"nice shower?" I asked her.

"yeah, nice and warm thanks" she said sitting down on a chair, "actually, I'm going to put my bag back in the tent"

She got back up and un-zipped the tent. She walked in there and all I hear is her scream and then someone yell 'OUCH!' I got up and ran to see what happened. When I poked my head in the tent, I saw steph laying on everyone and everyone else just waking up.

"what happened?" I asked, trying not to laugh.

"I tripped over someones foot and then landed on everyone" she said blushing.

So that's everyone awake
