The lights of the halls shone brightly, falling at Esmeralda's face making her close her eyes and adjust to the light around her.

"Wow." she gaped at her surroundings. Almost everyone was there. Either chatting or dancing.

Eyes of a few boys turned to her, including Andres; who were all appreciating this beautiful siren.

The clinking of champagne glasses and occasional laughter along with the bright light of the chandeliers made the perfect ambiance for a ball.

Esmeralda turned to Raiden with excitement written all over their faces. They were chuckling at each other in joy and excitement.

''Wow. You really look so pretty doll.'' he complimented her, his compliment being heard by Andres who was nearby.

''We girls dress to impress.'' she shot a wink at him.

Aldric spotted the Mayor, Mr. Blackstone and Bella along with Andres and his two friends.

Esmeralda almost swooned at how damn handsome and tempting he looked in his all-black suit.

Parvati along with Leah and Deirdre, her two nieces were standing next to them. Parvati was talking to Bella while her two nieces were talking to each other about Raiden and Esmeralda's arrival.

Esmeralda ran to her friends while Raiden and her parents walked towards them. Parvati pounced on Estella when she came near them.

"You look lovely Esme." Leah and Deirdre complimented.

"Thanks guys. You two look lovely too."

"What are we gonna do here in the hall anyway?" Raiden asked.

"Talk, eat and enjoy." Esmeralda answered.

"Alright, kids. Now go and sit at table no. 17. It was booked for us." Bella motioned the kids to go, ruffling Andres' hair, making him give her a small, slightly forced smile.

It had only been two years since Mr. Blackstone and Anna, his ex-wife divorced and now here he was.

Andres still talked to Anna which hurt Bella's feelings a bit.

The kids walked towards the table and sat down. "How is your singing practice going on Esmeralda?" Brooke asked Esmeralda trying to start a conversation with her.

"They're going good."

"You like English and Korean songs, don't you?" Phoenix asked her even though he already knew the answer.

The only reason why they were asking her these questions was to get to know her a bit more.

"Yes. ArmyBlink forever.'' She made a heart with her forefinger and thumb, expressing her love for her two favourite K-pop groups.

Raiden and Brooke let out a sweet chuckle.

"What about your assignments guys? Have you finished it yet?" Raiden asked his classmates.

"Yes." all three of them answered with a smile.

"And Esme, you?" Leah asked.

"DID WE HAVE AN ASSIGNMENT?" Esmeralda asked her two classmates making everyone except Leah and Deirdre choke up a laugh.

"Copy mine," Deirdre suggested with an awkward chuckle.

"Okay. Thanks."

"By the way, what happens in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows? We've only till seen the sixth movie. What is gonna happen?" Leah asked Esmeralda.

"Snape and Li-

"No" Esmeralda practically shouted to Andres who looked a little taken aback.

"Oh please tell us." Leah whined. Esmeralda nodded her head 'no'.
